They cannot play a solid enough game to win three in a row, let alone two right now. I'm glad I chose to be apathetic or I'd be stressing right now.
Of course, I'm going in for oral surgery tomorrow, so I won't be caring about anything thanks to modern medicine. - Flyskippy
I'm in the apathetic group as well. They really need to do some major organizational overhauling, or its same old same old. |

The post was sort of in jest, to counter all the people that say I'm only blaming Laviolette.
That play got progressively worse as the puck went past the last 3 Flyers. Meszaros did a bad job to contain his guy, Coburn was lazy and got his stick lifted, and Bryzgalov allowed a backbreaker.
That goal was totally on the three players. - Jsaquella
I see.
To me, it's pretty clear that with this D, it doesn't matter what coach we have, they are going to suck either way. With no Pronger and an aging Timonen, the D core is not something to build around, aside from possibly Schenn. Coburn is inconsistent Meszaros will probably break his pinky next year. |

I'd like the Flyers to sign Randy Robitaille and Petr Nedved to finish this season out. |

The rest of this season will be a real test of mental toughness. Who wants to come to play in what will amount to meaningless games. A lot of players on this team not used to that idea. And they don't look to be handling it well to start |

rangers on their way, without any real dogged offensive effort to potting 5 goals and winning 11 out of their last 12 games against the flyers.

The trouble that I have with that rationale is, there's teams that have worse defense corps on paper that do so much better.
Ottawa is running a 38 year old Sergei Gonchar out there almost 25 minutes a night. New Jersey is playing Anton Volchenkov every game. They should not be this horrible. |

Weren't you the one saying the Flyers would get one and then find themselves down by 3?!? |

Found about 10 different explanations on the lottery. I uderstand the percentages, but if the Flyers finish 24th, what's the worst they would select? |

Talented but inconsistent players, who have sub par defensive games.
Its ugly, and part of the reason for saying this but honestly aside from Simmonds, Rinaldo, Grossman, and Voracek/Bryzgalov to a lesser degree they can all go (frank) themselves.

I guess my point is it's hard for me to get on the coach when changing it might improve things a little, but in the long run won't solve much. Until the organization gets its act together and decides to seriously draft and develop goalies and dmen, we're just going to have to hope to get lucky, or we'll see the same poop the next 5 or so years. The coaches can change, but the big problems will remain. |
