And while I'm here:
Have any of you seen JVR?
I went to the police station this morning to file a missing persons report, but they said that they couldn't do that just yet.
They suggested I go back to his old haunts and see if there have been any reports of him.
We are all getting a little worried. Any news of him would be greatly appreciated by Leafs Nation.
thank you. - Atomic Wedgie
That's the thing about JvR. When he's hot, he's as hot as liquid magma. When he's not, he's more akin to Siberia |

Shattenkirk may be more realistic with all the RFAs St. Louis has coming up. I'm not a huge fan of Byfuglien either. He'd be last on that list for me. - NickTheKid87
The Blues have 29 (!) total free agents... 19 of them RFA's. Among the RFA's... AP, Cpt. Kirk, Chris Stewart (leading scorer), Jake Allen, Kris Russel, Berglund...
Idk for sure, but I am assuming that they should all be in line for a decent raise. |

He dropped from a 0.87 PPG pace to a 0.5 PPG pace. Similar playoff PPG numbers as Brooks Laich. - Jsaquella
0.67 PPG in the playoffs.
I hope Semin sucks for Carolina since they are a division rival next year, but it's a fair deal. Much better than Minesota being on the hook for Parise until 2025. |

Thanks for the link, some good points there. Perhaps I'm wrong on Semin, only time will tell. He's just a guy that has always looked like he was never going all out, but I have seen only Hurricanes game this year, so perhaps he has turned a new leaf. - BiggE
I wouldn't have been opposed to the Flyers bringing him in for 3 years at $5 million per if he'd go for that last year. Things worked out perfectly for him though. |

Its funny cause honestly everything I heard about L Schenn from Leafs fans on here was completely true....and JVR is exactly how we described him to you guys....he does this....very streaky, but as long as he stays healthy you guys should be fine with him - nonpoint22
One of the biggest complaints from Leafs fans on Luke Schenn, was that he is slow, and lacks foot speed. That is completely not true. In fact most of the complaints from Leafs fans on Luke Schenn have been completely without merit. |

Did anybody check the Jersey beach house where Carter hid for days after being traded?
That's where I'd start. |

Nailed to the bench for the second half of 3rd period and all of OT.
I'm hoping he got the message. |

If not now, then later. You gotta think Pietrangelo and Shattenkirk alone will get bigger deals than Subban. MUCH bigger. I could see each getting 2-3 years and then getting their 8 year deal after that though. |

I would be extremely hesitant to move Couturier unless he was part of a package to bring in a young top pair defenseman. Laughton may give you top notch penalty killing , grit and checking, but he has nowhere near the offensive potential of Couturier. I would hate to see the Flyers move this kid for a winger and then watch him develop over the next couple years into a 25 goal, 65-70 point Selke trophy candidate. |

He's quite often very slow moving with and deciding what to do with the puck.
That decision process should improve with time. |

Put me down for no interest in Ryan if it involves coots. Counter productive |

Are we sure Grossmann's upper torso injury isn't a concussion? |

On the flip side, if Couturier doesn't start scoring next year, he'll be run out of town. |

I stand corrected. The page I used had incomplete data on his playoff numbers.

No one has said that I've heard. But I really hope not. Think Lavi busted Briere and Grossmann's skulls together? |

I disagree with that completely. His decision making with the puck has been very good for the most part. Not saying he hasn't made mistakes. But I'm very impressed with him overall. And very happy with the trade. |

I was more referring to his turnovers....I personally like L schenn and like the trade cause JVR was never going to pan out here it wasnt gonna happen IMHO...but at least this year I see the turnovers....I got alot of he is a great hitter but he makes stupid and costly turnovers in own zone which is also true this year....for all flyers d men |

If briere get healthy and accepts a trade to the Habs think we could get Nathan Beaulieu from them

I think that is, or a lot of it is, due to the system or the inability of the forwards to correct the gap issues. |

No, probably not. More like Yannick Weber. |
