Do we know he's making those decisions? Cause if so, that would seem to be a big problem. - wolfhounds
I know that he demanded Holmgren go get a goalie. I'm fairly comfortable in saying he demanded that the Old City Boys get moved out.
It's awesome that Snider's passionate. It is a blessing as much as it is a curse.
But what we know of Paul Holmgren is that as an assistant GM, he loved running the drafts. He actually said in interviews that he wished Clarke wouldn't trade so many picks away.
I honestly don't feel that Holmgren would be Johnny Ringo if Snider wasn;t putting pressure on him. |

Sorry. I don't know how that happened. I embedded it as always - editing the size DOWN to 400 x 300. Weird.
Again, apologies to all. |

Well lost on the last page, I made a post asking if I'm crazy for actually hoping Holmgren goes with Laviolette. The Clarke/Holmgren regime has ruled for a long time without getting over the final hurdle. Close, but not quite. And while I enjoy the entertainment of their aggressiveness to try and win, maybe it really isn't for the best as far as winning the cup is concerned. It isn't like there aren't any other really smart hockey minds out there. Maybe someone else, with a bit of a different lens, could do better. They Flyers will always be the Flyers no matter who the players, coach, or GM is |

Can't argue with this. I'd love an unadulterated/unSniderized Paul Holmgren running this team. |

I think they'll be aggressive as long as Snider's around. Being aggressive isn't the issue, as much as it is chasing last year's Stanley Cup...or at least the team that beat them the season before |

I would have no untouchable at this point. I'm answering the phone and listening to all offers. |

Had to go out and come back in and skip page 58.
Picks, picks and more picks while playing the young guys to evaluate them. I really hope Briere recovers from his concussions for him and his families sake. The minute he does they have to get what they can or buy him out. Great player, geat person, but the cap hit is debilitating.

In today's NHL, I don't think you can acquire a franchise d-man in his prime other then drafting one. If Seth Jones has that pedigree and the Flyers are close to the top pick, they have to use whatever assets necessary outside of G to draft Jones. |

Where do I imply I want to keep Lava? I do not, and I wouldn't mind the GM going along with him. It's not like the world would end. Happens in sports all the time |

If the GM is fired also it would be nice to hire a GM and not a former player for once. |
