Terry Murray gets team to finals, gets fired for making ill advised comment. Peter laviolette gets owned by the Atlantic division and both Florida teams, still has a job, amazing. - JoeRussomanno

No, but his foot was injured, not his head. He makes rash decisions with the puck when healthy. If other players see that, see him not punished when they are for similar mistakes (even if less frequent), and see their ice time diminish, that's not good for team morale.
Still... I love the guy. My heart wants him to stay but my head... hasn't made up its mind yet. - Flyskippy
Depending on what else happens, I still see a big role for him moving forward. |

wouldn't we be doing either briere or timonen a favor i mean briere has to redeem his career some how - 2Real
Sure I can see that as a fan. As a player who is towards the end and established with family, friends in the community, Id find it hard to put the desire to potentially win a cup ahead of disrupting my families lives, and it would be for 2 years since both have time left on their deals. I also think both of those players would like to be apart of turning things around here next year, but thats just my opinion. |

This organization is like ... (frank) it I don't even know anymore. The positives still out weigh the negatives though. |

i don't see this as prolonged at all, this team is better than what's going on here
i'd tweak, and keep fartsmell - Don'tForgetTocchet
i hear ya... definitely not saying the above is wrong. my point was just that i'd sooner go the "sell assets like hartnell" route than the "give up on the kids" route |

Yeah, it seems like every now and then Hartnell gets into a funk and people want him gone...until he starts potting goals and then it is quickly forgotten. At least this time he kind of has an excuse (his foot). I think Harts and a lot of other players will look a lot better when the ship is righted. |

Curious about your ranking for the top 5 prospects in this draft? I'm starting to do a lot more reading on the draft earlier this year for some reason. |

Funny how Clarke is like the son Snider never had because of winning the Cups here. You would've thought that, with Parent's play as a Flyer and how the team never won a Cup without him, Snider would've been on Clarke for that and the D in the late 90's/early 00's. |

I do, too. We've seen a lot of these guys play much better than this. I just hope to see fight as the string is played out. |
