It's kind of hard to admit, but I want this season done already, and I think the team does as well.

I think that's the biggest problem. The team wants the Season done.

At this point, who really cares. The season is over. I don't mind Gustafsson playing, he should have been playing all along instead of Gervais. - PLindbergh31
You think there wasn't a legitimate reason for sending Gustafsson down? Had to be something.

Not here to start any crap, but a quick question? Why is everybody on this site(well may be not everybody but a majority) of you so opposed to dealing couturier? If there is a deal out there to be made for Bobby Ryan, why not pull the trigger? In my opinion, what Giroux is lacking is a true scorer to play along side of him. - bigdaddywaite
Because the last of the issues the Flyers should worry about is a winger to play along side him.
Short of his +/- he is still averaging a a little under a point a game while Voracek is averaging more.
If the Flyers move Couturier it needs to be for a number 1 or 2 dman. |

He has 5 months to get ready. Need to see what the prognosis and Medical evaluation is. Can't buyout an injured player. - MJL
I'm aware. The achilles I buy is a freak injury, could happen to anyone. The shoulder injury is a chronic one. These hits he is taking aren't huge, basically it's regular game wear and tear. I'm sure shoulder surgery is upcoming. I don't want a dman who has his shoulder being held together with spit and glue. |

Well why recall him then? He's ironed out the issues? Or are they simply recalling him because Lilja is an awful player who can't play in the NHL anymore? |

Trade Coburn, shut down Timonen for the season and go with a D of Grossmann,Schenn, Gervais, Foster, Gus and Manning/Lilja. Pretty sure that will clinch a top 3 pick! |

It is chronic. It obviously can't take the punishment right now. So they need to figure out how to fix it, or if it can even be fixed. It's not the end of the World. If anything. If it's needs to be fixed. This gives them more time to do it. And for the Achillies to heal further.

Thats where a coaching change would come into play for me.
No matter what, and how I feel about Lava, I do not want them ending off the season this way. In the season that must not be spoken of they added Upshall and Biron, which helped things a bit.
I dont believe they can make moves to really change things up enough right now, they need to bring in another coach. I dont want the young kids ending the year off this way. They need some hope, and they have none right now. |

Before I was thinking wow we have a real shot at Nurse, Pulock, etc.
But my God we are looking at one of Drouin, Mackinnon, Jones and thats so much better than the same 1st round exit crap. These kids are too young to be scarred by the losing. But it needs to turn around starting next year. |

It doesn't have to be, just has to be good enough to guarantee us 1 of Jones, Drouin or MacKinnon. |

I understand being excited to pick a good player.
It still doesnt take away the sting from this season. No matter what, I dont like to see them lose. I could live with it in a rebuild mode, but I dont like it. |

Coburn is 18th in the NHL in hits among defenseman. And honestly, I don't want him skating the puck up ice. I want him passing it off to the forwards, and let them bring the puck up ice. - MJL
seriously? His mobility is an untapped asset. Why would you not want him to utilize it? |

Even in a rebuild it'd be painful to watch them lose. Understandable, but painful. |

If the Flyers even have Meszaros as part of their plans next season, they have to have their heads examined.
