I oont know anything about these guys either but first impression is feaster got fleeced. Boston's offer sounded better at least as reported - Cptmjl
I think both kids are expected to challenge for NHL roles soon and the late 1st round pick should help. Iginla of course is a UFA so this all depends on just how far the Pens go. Still, keeping him off Boston's roster was huge |

Exactly. Pitt robbed the Flames. Iggy controlling where he wanted to go didn't help feaster either |

Must be nice to add Players like Morrow & Iginla for the playoff push. Snow added an extra component in his desk draw to hide his coke |

I never heard of the prospects they gave up. You probably know a lot more about NHL prospects than I do...are they any good? Saw that one was a 5th rounder and one a 3rd, so I'm not sure if we're talking high-end talent here. - UIF
they are projected to be 2nd/3rd liners so nothing spectacular but again i gotta believe the fact that the bruins were players in getting him...the price was increased, even if it were marginal. |

He is a UFA in a couple of months. I'm all for getting rid of KO but you can sign Bishop and then package KO with some other garbage and bring in some fresh garbage |

If the Isles are looking for that 8th spot so they can play PIT in the 1st rd, then it would be a joke. If the Isles are looking to improve the lineup to grab the 5th, 6th or 7th spot it is a reach. If they think Donovan or Mayfield will crack the D lineup next season along with a healthy Strait, then Streit or Vis may go. If Strome, Lee or Nelson are in for next season that doesn't make Okposo or Nielsen expendible and none of their older forwards are expendible except Reasoner is a good faceoff guy and don't discount his hockey smarts.
BTW I do think Okposo fits the OTT style. |

Garth will make a move... but nothing like Iggy!!!
We have 4 games before the trade deadline... I'm sure we will know where we stand after the weekend. Buyers or Sellers.
Maybe a little of both.
If we can get one of Vis or Streit signed for next year... then trade the other for a first rounder!!! |

We'd better whip this slow a*sed pile of crap tonight- the one time where the pond hockey would actually work out is against them, at least for the first few minutes of period one. Skate your butt off, and draw a couple of penalties. Shoot high on the netminder, as he seems to suffer from DiPietro-itis....he drops to his knees a half hour before the shot comes, just in case there is no room above him for it to go into the net. I know, as Jethro said, we don't match up well, because they are big- but the difference is, Boston is big, strong and fast.
The only three guys this team has who are TRULY fast are little (Gagne, Briere, Giroux); the rest, other than Couturier (sp?), are plodding third liners, and orange pylons on the rearguard. They gutted what was a contending team, and the press in Philly still expects them to contend, which is ridiculous. The icing on the cake, trading JVR for Schenn, would be like us trading Nino for Komisarek; it was flat asinine, and it's biting them hard. I feel bad for Laviolette. All our team needs to do is skate, and learn to stop sh*tting its pants every time they see someone bigger than they are on the ice. They can't hit what they can't catch. I expect far better this time around. |

Do players on Ottawa fall all over the ice and check with one hand on their stick? |

I wonder if Chicago will turn their interest back to Streit and Boyes now that Iggy signed elsewhere?

just another way of thinking about it...having more teams interested in iginla would drive up his value |

Just remember it was only a few short months ago everyone had Nash personally delivering the cup to NY... Ignila does not = cup
Granted Pitts chances are much better now... but one hot goalie could have them playing golf real fast.

I'd rather have Lehner... much better goalie!!!
I would do KO for Lehner... not Bishop!!! |
