I dont understand how Lavy or Homer get a mulligan can you imagine enduring 82 game season with this team? Regardless how people feel about JVR and Carle, Jagr they were good players that were replaced with marginal players. Its not like this a new team, the guys that are here today were here last season so how all of a sudden do they forget where to be? And if I hear Hartnell say "we werent prepare" or "we packed it in" one more time Im gonna scream!! - flyerfan28

I think they learned a good lesson to not rely purely on FA.
Holmgren did basically everything he could to lure in Parise and Suter. Even Weber to a degree.
The one place I can cut him some slack is the team that is currently being run over, is not that one that was supposed to be on the ice. The chips fell, and the Flyers were left empty. Its hard to bring in the required pieces during this BS short season where most teams are in the hunt. FA is not what it once was, and the days of buying a team are over imo. The draft and the occasional trade will be the way to go. Its getting harder to completely re-make a team, and do it well.
Even though I dont think the Flyers will do too much, and I dont expect a big name, I am excited for the draft and off-season. |

Talbot is the only commodity left to trade from this pile of ashes. |

He has driven me crazy this season, because he is one of the veterans, and far too often has been making mistakes he shouldn't. I also expected him to drop the gloves more, and be harder to play against.
Even with all of that, I'd give him one more year. I'm kind of trying to look at this season and just forget it happened. Improve in the summer, and see what happens. If in an 82 game season, all of this poop keeps happening, and not just with Talbot, then yes it may be time to do a firesale to much of the crew. |

I would re-tool in the summer. I definately want to see some guys off the team, but thats just me. Improve as much as you can and see what happens. I dont think we will see a true rise back to being elite until the drafting/farm gets sorted out. Its bare as hell for the most part.
A complete "destruction", I'd wait one more season. Even then, I wouldnt be dealing all of the kids. If the Flyers have cap space, which I think they will because I dont see many big names coming in, I'd be all for bringing in Morrow/Jagr on short term reasonable deals. If they are willing and have some game left. I want a real infusion of what was lost when Lappy/Pronger departed. |

Big credit to the Habs this year, I didnt expect anything like this out of Montreal.
Having Markov actually playing helps. |

If you take all the teams and add their current PP% ranking and PK% ranking, the Flyers have the lowest number in the league, which sort of says they have the best special teams in the NHL. It's kind of funny, yet kind of sad at the same time. |

Montreal probably has my favourite goal horn, and as a U2 fan I love the intro song to the playoffs.
I miss the Flyers old horn. |
