If they hold on to win this game, and win tomorrow, I'm afraid Holmgren would do something foolish.
- PLindbergh31

This Flyers team is much better with this current defensive pairings. No overpaid chumps.

The Rangers won't be winning tonight. They are starting Biron. Price has shutout the Rags 3 times in a row in Montreal.
- PLindbergh31

Well having gaborik on the 4th line is going to help break that streak

Do you believe in Miracles? I think they win this one, 3-1. Not sure why...
- Flyskippy

i do. but if they win this, it won't be a miracle. there's a lot of talent on this squad, despite a blueline that has more holes than a 2 ton block of swiss cheese.

they really have nothing to lose at this point. just go out and play.

Homer says he expects Grossmann to return to lineup this year. He's not so sure about Briere.

- opeth_pa

Briere just collecting a check.

Crosby will not be returning to the Pens game today.

@RobRossi_Trib: #TribHKY >> Told by someone that Crosby's face is "mostly teeth."

Turns out the #Flyers may not give up anything at all in the Huskins trade. The conditional pick is a 7th rounder + only changes hands… 1/2

If the #Flyers re-sign Huskins to a new contract before 10/1/13. Otherwise there is no compensation going to Detroit. 2/2 #NHL

- ob18

That's about what Huskins is worth, so seems fair. Good deal for the Flyers. He's a warm body who will probably be serviceable until he gets injured.

The Rangers are an awful offensive team. They will probably make the playoffs by default. I would love to see the Islanders knock them out.

Yep. They could have 4 or 5 goals. Bryzgalov has played a very solid game.

Probably already been discussed - I didn't back read - but I wonder if Flyers will put a claim on Kaberle? He's got to be better than Foster or Gervais right? (although he'd also cost more).

Coburn regressing and Meszaros having the durability of a dozen eggs hurts for sure. Flyers have gotten little to nothing from both these guys this year.

read has looked good. i've enjoyed watching the gagne-fedetenko-knuble line as well.

and btw, watching simmonds skate reminds me of a newborn giraffe.

That goal really energized Read.

Also there was a shift by Knuble where he just battled for the puck on the forecheck and kept working, and then it was contagious, the next two lines also went hard for the puck.

If Knuble could donate his brains/heart to half this squad I swear they'd be in a playoff spot.
