I feel a win streak coming on, but not enough to make the playoffs
Still it would be sweet to get Pitt again this year (ummm, maybe not, but you know what I mean) - Marc D

they can still buyout his last year without a cap hit. - Symba007
Yeah, but they already have 3 excellent buyout candidates, no need to add a 4th |

Now if the Habs can beat the Rags....all will be good - Symba007
you own them in the Belle centre
just don't get too cocky like the Bruins did today |

Rags usually play the Habs pretty tough and they are fighting for a playoffs spot. No reason to take them lightly. |

i can't see us buying out bryzgalov unless there's a quality goalie to immediately step into his place
why hartnell? many teams would love to trade for him and his cap hit isn't that bad |

I dont get the Hartnell buyout at all.
Over the past few seasons he was the only constant on our top line.
Last year he put it all together, this year he was hurt and like the whole team has struggled.
He is 30 with a manageable cap hit.
Why? |

reading the comments from Uncle Ed, it sure wasn't a ringing endorsement for Lava long-term. I think the team has to make the playoffs for him to survive.
I didn't get to see the game, but I sure hope they continue to play Oliver. Let the kid play and grow. With any luck he could be a pretty cheap alternative on the third pairing and hopefully add some solid PK work in the future to save some of the top pairing d men in the future. |

Because he's signed into his late 30's with a NTC |

Hartnell has a NTC and has a 6 years extension that lasts until he is 38.
If he can't rebound next year, it'd be nice to have a CBO available.
Bryz is a candidate because of the cap recapture penalties if he were to retire before his deal ends |

What if Hartnell plays next year and doesn't rebound? What if he's a shell of himself? Comfy paying him $4.75mm until he's 38? |

Flyers should go out and get a solid backup or future rookie number 1 goalie. If Bryz sucks next year buy him out. I would buyout Briere and his cap hit if they want a defender in free agency. |
