Nah, just hates Holmgren. Thinks Hextall wouldn't end up being Snider's new lap dog.

I ripped them before the game, but they did a decent job.

That was the best performance by the defense in weeks.

I'd rather have the full Cap space available. If I could trade Briere, unless it was a good younger player. I'd be looking for a deal that did not take any salary in return. And if not, then use the buyout.
- MJL

you could trade briere for Kaberle and then buy him out for less money.that would also give you the last few games of the season to see if you want to keep him. Not ideal but if you're going to buy out briere anyways then maybe better than nothing?

For anyone who wasn't there, this was fan appreciation day. That includes the Flyers' players giving the jersey off their backs to fans. My wife was lucky enough to be selected. They give each person an envelope and they open it on the ice.
She's a huge Mike Knuble fan. She didn't get Mike Knuble.
She's a big Max Talbot fan. He was already gone by the time they go to her.
She thinks Wayne Simmonds is hot. He was also already taken.
So she had to settle for Claude Giroux's jersey.

The end result is the same, though, using a compliance buy out

I would go with the same lineup the rest of the year. Maybe mix in some more young guys. It was nice to see a defense do its job.

Oh, absolutely. If they can get a pick/player for next year, that's fine. But of the 2, prefer Kaberle for 2 reasons:
1) Kaberle could play this season
2) The buyout penalty for Kaberle is less $$ than for Briere.

Then I'll tell you now that tomorrow night's game was moved up to 6. Don't want you missing two in a row.

I loved the look on her face. I'm glad it was a real fan and not someone there who didn't know who was who. Like the girl who got Seen Couture.

They started after moving to the new building. So 17 is about right. And of course, I still have not gotten a shirt off anyone's back or any other STH appreciation thing. Sigh. I'd have been happiest with the 50/50 today, though!

You want the Flyers to claim Kaberle or trade for him?

If you went to Xfinity live and followed Kimmo into the bathroom and brained him with a chair, you could steal his shirt...wouldn't be a jersey, though

Trade. I wasn't aware he was on waivers. I thought this was in response to the Habs fan who proposed Kaberle and a 3rd for Briere on her earlier today.

i can't see us buying out bryzgalov unless there's a quality goalie to immediately step into his place

why hartnell? many teams would love to trade for him and his cap hit isn't that bad

- 2Real

If they buyout Bryz without a solid backup plan I'll let them keep my $125 and not renew. Only things worth watching regularly this year have been Bryz, Simmonds, and Jachobe.

Lauridsen did well for his first game.

It really is too bad Homer saddled Lavi with that useless shell Knuble. So easy to see why he's been sitting healthy most of the games since he's been back.

When they called Jody Shelley in shirt off their back I laughed. I'd completely forgotten he was on the roster. WAY too many guys in suits at that postgame thing. Guess they delayed all the surgeries til Monday so they could give away their jerseys.
