The game definitely could have broke wide open. I counted at least 3 chances where Rask was way out of the net and we fired wide.
Bruins need to made a move or two at the deadline for sure. Whats happened to Lucic? I think I heard his name twice all game. - hereticpride

Apparently Buffalo is having an everything must go sale. Any interest in Ehrhoff? He's signed long term @ 4 million. He put up 50 points with Vancouver in 2010-2011. 32 last year. If this were a full season he'd be on pace for somewhere between the two, on a bad team at that.
Edit: Wow. I did not realize he's 30 already. I think that puts him under contract til he is 36 or 37. Ehhh, maybe not so much a great idea... |

Hmm, sounds similar to Coburn's kid turning him into a PIM machine. |

Not too keen on contracts that last into the 20's, unless it's for Giroux after he scores 100 points next season. |

Agreed, especially on Foster. His lone strong point is being able to rip the slapper. Instead, he passes it into Giroux's skates. Also, I think read hit 2 bars with his shot. Bryz was splendid today. Rinaldo was great (except for where he put himself into the bench). Knuble had his best overall game, very strong on the puck along the walls (outworked 2 Bruins for it at one point). Probably the best effort in a month. |

What if Hartnell plays next year and doesn't rebound? What if he's a shell of himself? Comfy paying him $4.75mm until he's 38? - Jsaquella
Unless he breaks his foot again Hartnell being a shell seems unlikely, and he will have just turned 37 when his contract ends. He's a much more tradeable asset than Bryz. |

Thanks for the info. I just have a feeling Ghost is gonna be legit some day. I guess it is blind faith. - ravishingone
I feel the same way (hope at least). I think the game's on if you have the Comcast Sports package (no hi def though). Channel 730 here, ESPNU.
Edit: Just saw Laughton is leading the OHL playoffs in scoring, and Cousin's 17th.
And Stolarz has the 2nd best goaltending statistics. |

Were other options even given? Non playoff teams generally don't trade for goalies at the deadline. I also don't see many playoff teams selling goalies heading into the playoffs. - hereticpride
