Homer calls David Poille tonight.
Poille: Hello?
Homer: Hey Dave, it's Homer.
Poille: Paul, it's 2am.
Homer: Well?
Poille: Leave me alone. (click) |

I was just thinking before the Giroux goal how the Habs just tied and won their game against the Bruins the other night with a late surge that we have not seen something like that here in a while.
God, that felt good to rise again on the third unanswered goal. |

Giroux should be buying them all a dinner.
That fancy BS stuff has to end. Too much perimeter play by the team, and once again its "flip the switch time".

Goodbye second round pick.... Hellloooooooooo....

dude's been around a long time. I remember him being one of the first players to consistently foil Lindros by knocking him on his ass a couple of times. |

It's not the points it's the # of teams they have to jump. Just keep winning. It's all they can do. - jstross
I'm just happy they're showing signs of turning things right. Still get way too undisciplined, but they overcame stupidity and got a win over a Washington team that has started to turn things around themselves |

Expect homer to do something stupid by Wednesday. - Philly1980
J-Bo has to wave his NTC to come here, I doubt he would. I don't believe Homer channels his inner Clarkie. |

seriously
they're too talented to be in doormat mode. a high draft pick would be great, but you can get good players later in the draft too |

Not to take away from anything, and Ill stop because I will crash the celebration.
Are you happy with that game though skip? Stupidity, inconsistency, and too much perimeter play until they flipped some magic switch and got a break with the icing at the end.
Its nice to see them get any wins instead of rolling over, but tonight pissed me off. |

I think Giroux pissed me off more than anything.
Looking at the big picture though, its nice to see them get some fight back. Havent seen that in a while. Gervais has been much better, and Timonen as well. |

He made a few boneheaded plays, but he did have 3 points and took over the game for stretches. First year as a Captain have to cut him some slack.
The work ethic is there with this team for the most part, the lack of discipline and injuries are what have sunk them by in large. |

Luke Schenn plays almost 27 minutes, only 23, kind of filling in nicely as a #2 d-man. |

the stupidity irks me more than anything about this team. G's ridiculously bad play, Simmer and Hartnell taking needless penalties.
BUT ... this was a very nice win.

Well, maybe he has changed his mind. However, the Flyers were hotly pursuing him when Florida was trying to trade his rights, which ultimately went to Calgary because he is from Alberta. My biased opinion, I think there are better options, with that being said he'll probably be here before Tuesday. |
