Maybe they sit Foster? Lauridsen has more mobility than Foster. I liked what I saw from him yesterday (Lauridsen). And I agree with Bill, there were a few moments where Lauridsen fumbled the puck, but he recovered well for his first NHL game.
He didn't look out of place. - KGBflyers10 Very possible. Foster was one guy that didn't look good yesterday.

1-0 without Coburn, just sayin' - ICUBB
I think their 1-0-1 record over the last 2 has more to do with Mike "Give Me The Rock" Knuble being used efficiently (on the PP and on some off line with Giroux), He shall carry us to glory, with his short locks brimming with grandeur, and his skates burning with...well, tar? |

Nah doubt it. Poille and homer have good relationship. Nashville had to get owners to sign off. Wouldn't be surprised if they relocate in 5 years. - SMS4016
They had a good relationship. I doubt that they do now. |

If they don't resign him there's no cost. They only give Detroit a pick if they re sign Huskins - Jsaquella
basically "we'll pay the rest of his salary for the year and free up a roster spot for you if you give him to us". a move of extremely little significance. i'm sure some of our posters found a way to complain about it in colorful fashion, however
personally, i hope he's destined for the press box as insurance against another injury |

Him not score, him no fight, him useless.
I hope you're right. Injured on not, I'd prefer to see Manning up over Huskins and/or Foster. |

Yep. Detroit needed a spot for DeKeyser, Flyers need a body because everyone of note is up, but Manning and he's coming off a hip injury |

If there is anyone on management or ownership that is willingly even suggesting this team tank.
They need to be removed from such a position. - flyer_nutter
I hear you, but remember the "suck for Luck" campaign a few years ago? Not saying that any team "did it". But "injuries" and playing your AHL players... Not saying there is any Tom Foolery, but.... |

You value a 3rd/4th line agitator over a 1st liner who is also a very good two way player & top PK guy and you call Holmgren a dumbass? - Jsaquella
Read is not a 1st line player? Just because our stupid coach moved hartnell down doesn't make read a top line player. Not saying hartnell didn't deserve demotion but read is a 2nd or 3rd line winger that is opportunistic scorer. He has s knack for finding open ice. Good hockey sense hood defense posItOnal player good pk player. Yes he is valuable yes he is needed but most teams have a plyer lime that on their team. Most teams however do not have a devastating relentless bone jarring hitter with heart that will fight anyone lime rinaldo. Maybe with a little more ice time and with more offensive talented players along side him his offensive game will improve. Kinda like ahole clarkson. |

That's Because is a dumb a$$. I lime his boldness and balls of steel but he's a dumbs$$. Everyone pretty much agrees he's going to trade one of our forwards for a dman soon that's why when you get a chance to get someone like weber you pull the trigger. Coots of limits was dumb. He will enD up Overpaying for a good dman when we could of had weber. Not crying over spilt milk here just pointing out same crap this org. Does over and over. Id like to see Burke here. Someone not afraid to stand up to snider instead of being a yes man that homer and Clarke are - SMS4016
I am a Flyer fan living Toronto... You do not want to see that Jack A?? Burke in Philly. I much rather have Homer... |

I'm awaiting the arrival of an account that is either new or not been around in long time to argue with you for talking down to people as I was a few days ago... This should be good. - JoeRussomanno
DiffereNce of opinion or debating isn't talking down. Trying to gang up is just a d bag move and not impressive. I for one see right through that and it doesn't bother me at all. You say "tomAto" I say "tomato" in the end if this damn team can ever win another cup we will all be at the same place.. Parade. Happy Easter. |

Should be a good game today, IMO potentially the best matchup of the day. You guys have a lot of injuries and adversity to overcome. BTW, the last goal scored on us was last Sunday by you guys. Been a long time Pens fan and never saw this team play defense this good. Good luck with the Caps. |

Sounds like Lavy is a goner this off-season, once we miss the playoffs. It also sounds like Homer stays, which I'm alright with.
As far as ranking our young forwards in order of "untouchable"...
Giroux, Voracek, Couturier, Read, Schenn, Simmonds, Knuble.
Bryz needs another full season, with a decent back-up and better defensive team play in front of him. We just need to save a buyout just in case for the summer of 14-15. Try and deal Briere this off-season, if not buy him out. I would try to find a taker for Meszaros, too expensive for a 5-6 d-man and is a walking pane of glass. |

If we could move Read+Talbot+Coots for a #1dman, you'd better do it. I love all 3 of them, but if that's the package it takes to get a real #1, it's hard to overlook it. However, I doubt Montreal wants to move Subban, since they have him for 1 more year AND he's still an RFA after that.
Now, if you have to do those 3 and some picks/parts for Pietrangelo or Nashville is willing to revisit Weber (let me dream), then absolutely.
We just need to somehow get Cloutier to become GM of Nashville so that we can "help" the Preds by taking Weber off their hands for some spare parts. |

My writing is distinct because I work 12 hour shifts overnight on weekends with about 5 hours since Friday so I can barely see straight by sunday. And when Spelling is off I'm not going back to correct it. I didn't take your comment as directed at me was just throwing a comment out there. |

First, Homer should be gone before lavy, but I agree that Lavy is way more in trouble then Homer. Trading Briere will be next to impossible now that he is coming off a concussion, he will be bought out....and good luck finding a taker for Mez and this point |
