I'll be thrown into a bathtub filled with acid, but yes, I make that trade. You gotta give to get. Vanek is a proven elite player.


Side note : vanek on the left side of the PP as the right shot, would be deadly with JT, streit, viz, and moulson in front of the net.

I'd agree with that......extension would be a must. I'd prefer not to move strome either, but players like vanek don't come along too often, and he'd instantly add offense. The isles still don't have an elite winger to play alongside JT......Vanek would be that guy.

Normally you would never find me at an Isles/Panthers game but I'm playing on the ice after. Finding out it'll (likely) be Lee's first game is just an added bonus.

I just hope they don't block the younger players like they did this year by adding players via waivers or signing vets who are past the expiry date

Theres only room for 4 centers. If 6 guys who are centers earn a place on the roster then 2 of them will have to move to wing. Look at Carolina, Skinner was a center when he was drafted and brought up, they wanted him in a top six role and switched him to wing, he seems to be doing ok for himself.

Lee can play both. Strome will more than likely play center here eventually, but is going to be a wing on the line with Nelson and Nino in Bridgeport for now.

Nelson played wing in college but is centering that aforementioned line. It's not the biggest deal.
