He's better defensively too, but all you need is one playoff team to have their PP go flat for an extended period and all the sudden they pull the trigger on a panic move. Or they just have a PP that sucks.

I'm not sure I'd consider Bouwmeester signed next year with a cap hit of $6.68 million as making him more valuable though.

He is but you can slide him over to the wing and give him a little less defensive responsibility and give him a chance to show his skill on better line...plus the first line really needs a jump.

That win puts the 7th and 8th spots in play down the stretch...if they would have dropped that one, it would have been all those teams fighting just for 8th with the Devils pulling away.

I figured the Devils would come out like madmen in the second...the Isles got back on their heels, but at least weathered the storm.

Have to say though...they gotta do something with the first line. They are just horrible defensively. It's at the point where I don't even like seeing them on the ice when we have a small lead.
