They say that being 2pts back means they are in it, despite how many teams they have to jump. (I agree on the last point to an extent, but don't think we can do it with this D.. I don't make any short term deals if I am Homer...if we can get a dman that helps now, and that we can use in the future, get it done.)

Also, they confirm that there were discussions about Ben Bishop being acquired. Kypreos says Ottawa would want a 1st which is lunacy in my mind.

Everyone thought it would be a seller's market because of how short the season was and how many teams could still be "in it" due to the lack of separation. It seems to be the other way, IMO. Everyone is a seller because of the short season and they don't believe they can make a run. I think the prices will certainly drop on a lot of these players, and they may potentially be able to be had at a discount, especially those that are in the last year of a contract.

In regards to Bishop I would do it for 2014 1st rounder, solid goalie and reasonable cap hit would make Bryz expendable.

I think the prices will certainly drop on a lot of these players, and they may potentially be able to be had at a discount, especially those that are in the last year of a contract.
