think the trade will be Laughton and a 2nd for Clowe - vejim
Holmgren is concocting something really stupid right now. Did anyone else see snider jump out of his wrinkly skin in the feds goal? The mandate has come down from snider and he wants this team in the playoffs at all costs |

I did find it interesting that Snider defended Holmgren in his interview but dodged the whole coach question saying it was Homer's call. Fascinating... |

And yet, I would trade ANY 2 Flyers for Crosby. - MBFlyerfan
Oh, me too.
Let's just say it took me awhile to get comfortable with the notion of Jaromir Jagr being on the Flyers. I was pre-programmed to boo/whistle at Jagr since he's been in the league.
So, while obviously the thought of Crosby on the team is fun, I admit, it'd take a solid month of being in Orange & Black before I would be able to subdue my natural inclination to tell him that I think that he, in fact, does suck. |

Only because it can never happen.
best player in the world on the team? Sign me up!
Of course with our luck he would get hurt signing off on the trade. |

How about not sign him at all. Why Clowe? We must be trading a winger to Calgary for Bowmeestermeester. Bye Simmonds. - Deasr1
no way in hell is Simmonds being traded. I think Homer and Lavy are smart enough to realize that he's one of the few guys who consistently shows heart on this team.
If anything, I wouldn't be shocked if Hartnell is somehow moved. Not only has his play been ridiculously bad, but he's skating like he's moping around from not being on the top line.
Unless, of course, there's interest in getting #68 back in O&B. Then you gotta figure Hartnell stays, and perhaps Read or B Schenn goes. |

Hartnells play has been band this season which probably has as much to do with him missing what 15 games with a broken foot?
please show me one legit sample of him moping around because he is not on the top line .

I can't see anybody on the roster being moved unless Homer is selling. And even then, I can't see him including any of the kids like Coots or Schenn.
If he's a buyer, then picks and prospects would go the other way. |

His lack of hustle has been evident on several shifts the last couple of games. In particular, he's easily the slowest player coming off the ice for a line change.
The broken foot is obviously a possible reason for his play, but it also seems like his head just isn't into the game. In my opinion, of course. |

I'd do that, actually, as long as Clowe signs a reasonable extension(say close to what Smid just got) - Jsaquella
Weren't you against that when I purposed that trade? |

That hasn't happened at all. In fact he took both his benching in a game, and his demotion off the top line like a true professional. |

this organization isn't deep enough to trade picks or prospects away for veterans. and if they move that #1 pick I may lose my mind |

Homer still has that 2nd pick burning a hole in his pocket. |

All this Clowe talk is starting to scare me. Everyone is like "NO, stay away!" why do we want / need him? No goals, dumb penalties, possible shoulder injury...
Please don't do anything disastrously stupid Holmgren... Please? |

Jones drouin Mackinon uncertain? this is a deep draft. - Philly1980
No player in the draft is certain. Furthermore it could take upwards of 5 years for them to reach their potential. The team in no way shape or form needs to tank or forego the chance of making the postseason just to select one player who has played 0 seconds in the big league. |
