You can get energy from any player you call up. Bottom line is he brought very little to the ice, as a 4th line player. Okay as a call up for a game or two, but that's about it.

Again. No idea what they think this guy brings to the Flyers other than being a soon-to-be expired contract slot and someone to keep Jody Shelley company in the Riley Cote suite.

If they wanted someone to protect Giroux besides Voracek then I am sure Rinaldo , Simmonds, Hartnell or Sestito (oh wait they traded him) would have obliged.

Just seems to me they traded someone that can skate for someone that can fight .

You might be right, but I still don't care for the move.

They have enough "team toughness" where I don't think they need someone who serves as strictly an enforcer. Rosehill is probably more marginal, as an NHL player, than Zolniercdkmvliczyk.

And Hartnell/Simmonds/Rinaldo couldn't have handled that? It's not like he'll be on Giroux's line, so any one of those 3 could have come off the bench as easily as Rosehill.

Don't know if this was brought up but Rosehill's UFA status vs. Harry Z's RFA status may play a role in the deal.

I can see that and this is a marginal trade at best.

That's exactly what they did. You have to be able to do more then skate well.

Also, if the Flyers are going to scratch Knuble (most likely) I'd think McGinn would be first into the lineup over Harry Z and now Rosehill.
