I'm happy they didn't trade Wellwood. The kid had a decent year last season when given the chance and this year he is no where to be found.
Still like his speed and potential on the 4th line. He played well on the PK also.
His speed created problems at times for the opponent. - stveshdy
Harry Z being gone just helped Wellwood greatly, I would think. |

So you're comparing a major trade of two players such as Couturier and Clowe. To a minor rather insignificant deal of two minor league players. With absolutely no future ramifications to it. I enjoy seeing how you take everything and blow it completely out of proportion. Or have such an overwhelming negative and pessimistic viewpoint to absolutely everything. - MJL
Not at all. I want to see if you are capable of criticizing a move this team makes. The next time, will be the first time.

That's a very good trade for the Blues. |

You can def get there. Bowling is repetition. Once you do it enough you will get the hang of it. - PLindbergh31
Bowling may work that way, but averages do not
Nah, but for real, I'm starting to get it. Sort of. I've always suspected part of it is being left handed (very slight difference in where the middle and ring finger holes are drilled), but the issue is largely inexperience.
Kind of like hockey. I've gotten a lot better, but I still fall enough to make Hartnell look like an Olympic figure skater. |

jmatchett's counterpart won Giroux's jersey, if I'm not mistaken. |

For a team in rebuild they got exactly what they wanted. A 1st rounder and more cap space. Also got back two young prospects.
Not bad. - stveshdy
The lost a top defenseman who is still fairly young. The prospects they got back, are mid level prospects. The first round pick is likely to be a late round pick. And they have to make that count. The Cap space is nice, but they have to do something with it. This is not a rental player on an expiring contract. This is a 29 year old solid player who still has another year on his deal. Not a great deal at all for the Flames. And is rather puzzling.

We need more playmakers and guys with speed.
Enough of these forwards who can bang the body. The game has changed. Get out of that mind set.

Great.. Also.. Ek is saying that he's scratched tonight.. although that could be because he has zero goals. |

I thought offense was their main concern. Still, cant fault a team for adding top 4 D heading into the playoffs. |

They stink with Jbo so whats the difference. Trade him and get the 1st w/ cap space. |

If nothing else, it's a fun activity to do. I enjoy bowling, just don't get the chance to go often. Yes falling can be an issue the lanes are very slick depending how much wax is used.
Yeah, at first it's hard to bowl well if you don't have experience, it's not a skill you can just pick up fast. Takes years of practice to be really good. |

Do yourself a favor. Go back and read my initial comments on the Luke Schenn deal. I look at each move and look at it objectively. Same here. To make a big deal about this deal, is ridiculous.

Is Calgary even at the Cap Floor now after trading Iggy and JBo?
The way Feaster hands out contracts they probably are, but whatever. |

David Perron, with 3 yrs left at $3.8M AAV, gets my vote as most likely to be dealt now in STL.

Any interest? |

Who is Brunno Giarch?
Obviously the price for a UFA with zero goals in 30 games would probably be like a 6th round pick. |
