I think it might be a final piece for next year, yes.
You can ask Calgary to take back some of the cap hit to make it more palatable. - bradleyc4
I wouldn't mind, he is a big minute eater and does everything OK.
If they eat 2M of his salary I wonder what they will want in return.
I think they are already wanting a lot back for him as is. |

One thing is for sure now...while he is on a liquid diet and eating through a straw we can totally say "Crosby Sucks!" and be 100% accurate. - Lexington Flyer
Obviously you dont know the relationship he has with Pierre Maguire |

You'd obviously have to be a believer in Bouwmeester.
Would never do it for a one-trick pony like Yandle. |

And a good leg, too.
Not one of those ones that Svetlana on the Sopranos had to resort to after Janice Soprano stole her good leg. |

where are all of the anti tankers now.....
they beat boston now they think they can win the cup....prepare for a rebuild in 2 years. - Philly1980
You were saying to tank before the season even started.. Now that it's played out a little, yeah we shouldnt try to make any sort of "run" and look forward to the draft. |

I can't envision one trade scenario with the Sharks and Coots that would leave me as content or happy. I have to imagine Snider wouldn't let Homer trade Coots here. |

Great way to develop our young core, to expect them to, "Lose until things get better. Please, don't try to influence change or success here." That's the kind of team psychology I want |

No, but let them play....Let the vets go. let couturier get briere minutes and not be stuffed on the fourth line because we have a coach who is afraid to loose his job. |

a broken leg is probably better than an A/MCL sprain or a cut tendon. f'ng blows, because talbot was finally coming around.

What does Clowe bring to the Flyers that they don't already have? Where is the need for him? |

if JBo was signed for ~ 5.5 for 4 more yrs, it would be in the ballpark. as it is now, he's only been productive in eating mins and being overpaid. hey, we can't always agree |

Please tell me Homer will not trade Cooter for any of the mentioned players not worth any of them!. I would like to see Clowe, Jagr, Bow and all but not at the price of Couts not worth it. |

Make all the fun you want, but Gervais has looked like a legit defenseman the last two games.

Coots, 2nd, 3rd for Clowe and Burns
I wouldn't be happy with this but I wouldn't be all that pissed either. But I doubt the Flyers get Burns unless they give up their 1st which I really don't want to see happen |

Someone brought up a scenario earlier where you get Clowe (for hopefully, next to nothing), and trade a forward such as Simmonds for a defenseman (such as Jay Bo).
I'm not advocating this, but only explaining what you could do if you were to bring in a guy like Clowe.
I like Simmonds and not interested in trading him.
Alternately, I'm not interested in having Ryane Clowe on the Flyers one bit. |

Didn't I just read that Burns is bounced around between wing and defense? Sorry, if this is the case, how is he valuable in the deal? I'll admit I don't know much about him, but being bounced between O and D is not exactly a ringing endorsement. Thoughts? |
