I like Zidlicky. He is an offensive Dman (kind of an oxymoron in NJ) but he brings something we do not have (hopefully Larsson can bring some of that as he matures).
I like Zid and want to keep him till end of contract. |

Good, we'll take the one that belongs to the Rangers.
But yeah, doubt that happens. If Columbus re-signs him, we'd see the Blue Jackets an awful lot next season, and we'd be playing against him. I wouldn't mind, but you never know if he regains that mojo or not. Columbus is getting stronger. |

Just a heads up for you Roger> Driver* not Drive lol. BTW, nice post. Clarkson should be traded but won't be> would be a sign of selling rather than buying in to this years possible playoff run. Can't move a top scorer on your team after making the Cup last year... |

Zubrus says his wrist won't be 100% for a few months. It could be possible he stays in a 3rd line role if the injury limits him. We need to move Tallinder or A-train. Henrik is more like IMO. I like our depth up front. If we can move a guy like Tallinder and maybe a prospect to get someone like Jagr, I think we could take the East again, and even finish the job this time. Believe.
Also don't think we should trade Clarky. He is struggling a big but I think he will eventually get going. |

If I was Columbus I wouldn't trade any of those picks unless they were for young talented roster players, which Clarkson is not. Columbus already has a ton of grit and they're showing they can really play. |

I always felt Clarkson was over rated and nothing more than a 3rd liner. If we can turn him into a nice draft pick or a consistent scores I am all for it.
Not sure about any of you, but after watching the Devils cough up the lead in the last 2 games it reminded me of the playoff series against the Hurricanes a few years back. Didn't think I could feel that low again, but I certainly am regarding this team! |

Who Clarkson? He is going to get more than that as a free agent. |

He'll get 4.5 to 5.5 mil on the open market....Toronto would be my guess unless a team that has ton's of cap space really overpays him (like Islanders) |

He won't go anywhere
The only roster player I see being moved is tallinder - shvingter88
Tallinder can be waived and nobody would want him....right now he has little to no value. Devils might have to move Greene or Fayne plus prospects/picks to get something decent back. |

Roger,
I think the perfect trading partner would be the oilers
a Hemsky for clarkson(and a signed extention) could be the bases of a deal I would argue (as i am a oilers fan) that we should get a little somthing extra due to the fact that Hemsky has put up good numbers when he was on some really bad teams.
Perhaps even expand the deal to include Ryan Whitney as the devils look like they could use a PP QB.

If we can get a first for clarkson i say we take it and rund and hide he is a great guy but his value is high and we cant have two overpaid guys on our although we have alot more then two they way they are playing i don' t know about you guys but i have zero interest in glenx he seems like the same player as d'agostini but has had more luxk i don' see him bringing anyrhing more then dags does to this team we really do need to start thinking about the future and not how we can make a run for it this year it would be nive to grab a prospect or two that have been groomed by another franchise so we don't have two wait three years for them to go through albany |
