As much as I would love to make the playoffs it's really hard to argue your logic. Isles are not a deep playoff threat where they can lose pieces for nothing.
- ses111

I would love to see them make the playoffs and would watch every second of it, win or lose, but I just don't see them making any noise if they do happen to make it. Just not ready for that yet.

You wouldn't be losing him for nothing. You'd be losing him for whatever help he could provide in the first real playoff push this team has had in almost a decade.
- PeteM

while that's true, and we'd love to see playoff hockey, I'd rather continue to make the team stronger which means not losing assets for nothing. The team isn't going to go past the first round IF we even make it and to lose Streit for nothing seems counterproductive when we've been suffering for so long to build the number of assets we have. Makes no sense to me to keep him to try and make the playoffs to go out in the first round. I'd hardly call him a difference maker at this stage of his career.

The team better be ready to score atleast five goals and play great defense. The top line better wake up today
- mighty13duck

Poulin is a good goalie... just needs to play!!!

Not sure why you guys hate him so much.

You don't think they could beat Montreal?

I think they would have a pretty good chance!!!

Agreed but now is not the time to find out how good...or bad he is? Not happy about this!

Hopefully the Clowe trade does not work out. Have to say they do not sit back and do nothing.

two seconds and a third for a guy with zero goals? I rather sit back. Terrible trade for them. They are in need of scoring. It is time to trade Boyes

in order to play montreal we have to finish in 7th. with the rangers, hurricanes, devils and even the flyers and caps, I think finishing 8th is going to be a hell of a task, and 7th isn't likely.

all it takes is a 2-3 game losing streak at this point and we're out and done. I'd love to see them make it, but in 12 games if we don't, or 4 games after that, remember I called for snow to get at least something for streit now before he walks and we get nothing.

I would rather see them in the hunt this year, and remove the dead weight in the offseason and come back next season hungrier with a couple of the kids and a fa signing or two.

Ill take whatever good will and better perception of this team that even a first round loss would bring (not to mention the experience these young players will gain) over the late second rounder that Streit will bring back.

No question they have traded a lot of picks lately. It's a risky move for Clowe. I agree it's time to trade Boyes.

.
A quick look into the mind of Cappy: Let's see....the guy just won three of four and says he's ready to go......hmmm...keep sauce on low simmer....OK, sit 'em tonight along with Reasoner, we have such a cushion we can afford it......uhhhhhhh.....did I add enough oregano?"

I don't think the Rags have a pick in the first 3 rounds this year... They are going the Mike Milbury route right now...

I would love to see if Streit could fetch like a 1st and a B prospect on the market

Clowe recieved a 2nd, 3rd and either a 2nd/5th
Murray recieved 2 2nds
Regher got 2 2nd's

Say what you want but Streit is having better seasons than all three of those players...

Who says we hate him? I just don't trust him right now. Not saying it's his fault but I think most will agree right now at this moment he makes a lot of people nervous right now

Please, Snow, whatever you do or don't do tomorrow...get Boyes off this first line. I don't care if it's Niederreiter, Nelson, SCLI or Cody Rosen, just present another option.

No come on.. Where are you possibly going to find another 'power forward' like Boyes?
