So... now what do we do with Streit....

You gotta keep him!!!

- jimmc7722

They will probably keep him but if they for example trade him to Edmonton for a 1st rd pick and Ryan Whitney...Snow might do it because Streit wants a 3 year deal and the Islanders think its too long...

If you can get Edmonton's first... that would be nice.

Not sure they would chance a lottery pick though.

We need him for these last 11 games.... hopefully ++++

I'm glad Pittsburgh lost tonight... that means they will play that much harder against the Rangers for the next 2 games.

If they trade him for Edmonton's 1st AND Ryan Whitney, I'll drive him to the airport. Edmonton's first is going to be top five again.

Edit: on second thought, I guess Edmonton has won a few in a row and climbed a bit in the standings....still, a decent defenseman and what will probably be a lottery pick isn't a bad deal. It's better than the nothing we'll get at the end of the year if we keep him.

Yeah, pretty far back in the crease early on. He wasn't tested much, but he did look better in the third, and made two nice stops on that scramble toward the end. I wasn't overflowing with confidence watching him though.

edit -- got the job done though, and Nabby gets a critical rest with a schedule that should allow him to get the rest of the starts, or close to it.

Really big win gives Poulin some confidence and Nabby gets more rest. Lee looked good. Casey, Martin, Lee not a bad line at all. Frans scored the huge goal. Nice team D.

Yeah, that's the important thing- we need SOMEONE who can keep them in a couple of games so Nabokov can sit.

Now is the time to trade for Haley. Boulton and a fifth? Would love to have the kid back for a playoff series vs the Pens

It's really Spartiarti. He's so determined to get us all to like Bailey that he took matters into his own hands and donned the jersey.

lol so true. nice game boys. lets keep it up. its quite amazing also that a rookie name anders lee can score on his first NHL shot but Reasoner can only score one goal in over 90 games in isles uniform. may we never see that bum again.

Took this from the Canes feed

"I feel like something happened in the locker room when Wallace was replaced by Hall. The hurricanes never won with hall in the lineup and now he has already been shipped off. What does that have to do with anything? I think Wallace is a part of what the team is missing, a strong checking scrappy throw in a few dirty goals kinda line. I have no idea what Wallace did to deserve being sent down but he needs to return immediately. He provides a part of something this team desperately needs."

Wallace?

I am very nervous about all the games in hand for the rags and carolina, but at the same time it could end up being a bad thing for both teams. Its means they have to play more games in less time than the isles do. Im hoping the rags and carolina get tired.

The Flyers have unveiled seven new statues at their building: Parent, Clarke, the Stanley Cup, and four of their current defensemen.

Games in hand have to be won to be meaningful. Right now, one of the rag$ two games in hand is a game against Pittsburgh.

If you actually focus on him and watch him play it's pretty funny. He really can't skate and constantly takes himself out of the play. His play has actually regressed.
- Cptmjl

Okposo gets too low to get any push- he plays half crouched most of the time, and then when he tries to hit the gas, he has no leverage. He's going to be slow anyway, but it would be nice if someone taught him HOW to skate. That might at least help with his strength along the boards.

Games in hand at this late might not be such a blessing either...means more back-to-backs jammed in before the end of the season. Isles have almost a normal schedule from here on out.

Lets hope pens spank rangers tonight. Isles in 7 spot would be ideal. I would love habs in 1st round. We were 2-1 against them on season and we are play our best hockey now.

Keep it up boys. Wash not happy we have owned them this year. Nice to see nabby will be rested.

Poulin played well but still flip flops a lot like dp. Good job by our defense to support him.

You didn't watch the game tonight?

Or... are you just trying to argue with me?
