My wife's back has been aching since baby-to-be's gotten bigger, so the sleeper couch has been a godsend. We both get to sleep without fear of bumping the other person.
I've foolishly retreated to the basement after eating breakfast late, because the cool air helps the nose/sinuses feel better, but when the Vicodin kicks in I might be crawling upstairs, literally, to go lie down.
If that happens, I'll switch to Twitter just to keep half-an-eye on trade proceedings. - Flyskippy
I am going to get up and clean soon, so I'll have an eye on the iPod touch for updates and NHLN on the TV. But I'm on new meds that make me groggy and unmotivated |

I wasn't really going there (I'm a die hard). I'm talking roster wise. I'd love to see a young kid develop into a number one D here.. be fun to watch. - mikel33
I was taught to root for the jersey on the front, not the name on the back. Nowadays, the reverse is more often true. |

You can always root for Bruce Campbell in whatever it is he's doing. - jmatchett383
Speaking of Bruce Campbell in Old Spice commericals or just Old Spice commericals. I adore the whole "wolf over the shoulder" drive out a ballroom window advert. Sadly it smells like crap. WAY too much citrus for a wolf compaign. C'mon! |

Yes, but then we'd have to read whining and complaining about how the team's not spending or properly building the current roster.
Double-edged sword. |

I'd have some interest in a couple of those names, without looking at contracts yet |

The fact is that Zolnierczyk provided some solid fourth line play when he was up. Flyers went 4-1 in games he played I believe.
I'm not bemoaning the loss of Zolneirczyk, more criticizing two aspects of the mentality:
1. Making a knee jerk trade based on a perceived hole that doesn't really exist
2. The philosophy that says that an enforcer stops other teams from taking liberties. - Jsaquella
I agree that Harry was a solid 4th liner. He did have some development to achieve to be clearly a NHL'er. I will miss him, I think he had more than one aspect to his game (speed and hitting, a little more rare than just one).
Regarding 1) I don't think Homer believes this to be a knee jerk trade. I believe he's filling the goon role, with Sestito's departure and Shelley's likely retirement. 2) I somewhat agree with you. Goons fight goons, but goons check/hit non-goons. Without a true goon, the other goon hits without retaliation. The holy grail is to fit a talented goon. |

I'd kick the tires on that trade deal.
Carolina's Jamie McBain is another defenseman who could interest the Flyers. He is just 25, with another year (at $1.9 million) left on his contract, and the Hurricanes reportedly have been dangling him.

It has good and bad moments. He's unpredictable - which makes it exciting sometimes and infuriating others. He's respected and hated by other GMs... When the league makes up rules to stop your GM specifically from doing things then you know that he really gives a poop.
I personally like Holmgren we could be much worse off. - FlyersGrace
+1
And it could be worse, you could have our GM...who prefers the let's do nothing and trust me derek roy is a superstar approach .

Not sure if we're on the same page. I always root for the Flyers, no matter who they have.. Will never root for a different team. Doesn't really mean I can't enjoy watching a young prospect grow into something special though, or have favorite players. I could be misinterpreting you though. |
