I still really like the idea of....
Armia - Grigorenko - Girgensons as our second line one day... - JVince11
You can like it but at least one of those pieces isnt ready maybe even all 3 arent ready |

You can never have to many centers. Look at boston. Seguin plays wing. |

I would rather have 6 centers on the top 3 lines then have a winger convert like leino or hecht on the dot
let alone an adam mair as the second line center - homiedclown
hmm... well I never claimed to be an expert... i have always know that it is a lot easier to go from center to wing than it is to go from wing to center...
I think I like Barkov more than MacK at this point.. Drouin is actually playing better with macK down and hurt right now.. I don't think macK is a two way player either if I remember.. he is extremely fast though..
Barkov sounds like a Getzlaf or Thornton type two way center that is big and physical.. |

If we were to build a team that plays 9 POmmers vs 9 Otters the 9 Otters wins more than the Pommers. Hockey is more than stats always has been always will be. 6 Mike Webers have played more sound D than 6 Tyler Myers. - Stripes77

Numbers don't mean anything. Ask anyone on this board without a bias towards any player which player has played better this season.
It's been Weber hands down! Now stop please.
edit: Myers having talent is still up for debate in my opinion by the way. - BuffaloHardHat
Numbers mean everything , as far Myers not having talent? I don't think people win the Calder on accident . Weber has little impact on this team, we lost when he was a healthy scratch and we are losing with him in the lineup. Myers is 10000 times more important to this team succeeding. No one on this board would argue that |

Ive lived there I know. There is still a good enough niche of people who will go to the games. OSu BB is only popular when they are good ergo if jackets are a playoff team they will go - hubie
The trick is marketing and marketing to the kids and under 40 crowd.Get them into the building and they will fall in love with the game.Footballs been losing traction in the pros and collage levels for a while.Just try and watch the superbowl without falling to sleep.Theres nothing special about it anymore not even the comercials. |

I know... I was just saying one day...
I think Girgensons plays all of next year in the A unless we have some emergency call ups...
I think Armia ends up playing about 5 games in Buffalo this season but starts next season in the A along with Girgensons... |

My thoughts exactly. It's a lot easier to shift from C to wing than wing to C |

yea that is the one I was looking at when I read off those names of guys that i would want...
Do you like the idea of drafting Erne to play with Grigo one day again??
That could definitely help lure Patrick Roy here... |

Numbers that matter? Weber has only been a minus player once in his last 17 games. Myers? |

Games are won by scoring more than the opponent. Talent trumps heart, sorry to break it to you, we all love Ott's enthusiasm and toughness, just like Weber's, fact is no team in the history of the NHL have won anything with a team full of players who's ceilings are 3rd liners or 5th and 6th defenseman. |

I would not reach for him with the top 10 pick but I would not be opposed to moving up to grab him mid first rd |

I still want Barkov or MacKinnon. I'm still not sold on Drouin... players that rise up all of a sudden are such a huge risk... |

once we are eliminated from playoff contention, 6 straight years w/o a playoff series win
most important number of the week IMO |

Agreed.. I meant if we do trade back into the first and get a mid round pick I would be interested in Erne..
I have heard tha tMax Domi compared to Sidney Crosby type skill set.
Frederik Gauthier seems like he would be physical as (frank) and dominate out there.
Anthony mantha could be a nice scoring physical winger at 6'4. |

And Weber's minus -19 last year compared to Myers +5? Is that because Weber didn't have heart or drive last year? Or is it because one is just way more talented than the other? |
