For McCabe I'd say two-way D - LetsGoBuffalo75
He is at Wisco right now right?? Is he a senior??
Does he have to play a season or two in Rochester before an NHL try out??
wha tis the time line? I never understand how some players make a jump and others don't. |

yea.. we don't have any scoring depth in our cupboards... AT ALL.
we need some NHL ready guys... - JVince11
Drouin can be with the big club the 2nd pick may be a year or 2 away but lets be honest we are building for 3 years down the road |

THis is why the Caps will never win a cup
Detriot had all those guys with heart who played greta in the playoffs
Heck Claude Lemuiex made a career out of heart in the playoffs - hubie
believe it or not, this is why i believe they signed leino. he's clearly talented but with his comments last year and what he did in philly his two years there, it's pretty clear he kicks it up many notches when the playoffs start. the nhl season is so long, i don't entirely blame him either. someday we'll get to the playoffs and i bet he'll impress... |

Id rather have Weber and trade Myers his play has been one of the reasons where not in the playoffs again. Some people are willing to wait like with Tim Connolly year after year me I want to win now potential means nothing to me. - buffalo 1

RYder, VErsteeg,HOrton, Heatley,Cammiliri etc - hubie

Steve Ott is more important to the Sabres IMO or Pommer wouldnt be getting shopped - Stripes77
The thing that really sucks about this season is that fans are left with these sorts of arguments.
If Pommer and Ott, and Myers and Weber, were all doing their jobs right, we would be wondering who we're going to bring in for a deep playoff run, instead of wondering who is to blame for the firesale.
We're about to hit rock bottom, and lets just hope the recovery doesn't take too long. |

I really would like a young prospect with high upside. Picks are great but eventually your gonna need roster guys lol - Smittyx36
The Bus doesnt have prospects that I would want id rather go for it in a deep draft. |

Right. My point exactly. Myers is one of the reasons were not in the playoffs, which means he's a very important player here |

Im not over rating him. Its basic logic. Ott is more effective doing his job than Pommer is doing his. They have 2 totally different jobs. I didnt say Ott was a better player or more skilled. Pommer has and always will have more skill. Problem is he isnt doing his job. Which makes Ott more valueable to the Sabres because he actually does his job.
On a trade market Pommer gets you way more. On the ice Ott gives more to the Sabres right now - Stripes77
We aren't winning with either guy.... Its crazy how pommer is now the whipping boy of the sabres. Because he is a soft spoken guy that isn't very physical.
We are a worse off without Pominville then we are with Ott. That's my opinion on it. |

Again that's just false. If it was just a decline from his rookie year I would agree with you. But he had a sophmore slump, then was our best player in the Flyers series (alot of people agree). Then had a bad start last year, but ended up our best defenseman down the stretch when we almost made the playoffs. It's a consistency issue, not talent. - sbroads24
he starts every year poopty....... and then regroups..
right now... I would say he has been our best D-men on most nights.. there are a few when ehrhoff is better but it is always them two as #1 and #2 ont he ice each night.
Myers needs to get his off season conditioning in shape...
People look at his stats as a judgment of who he is... he isn't going to be Karlsson type assists.. and he isn't going to be a Weber type leader.. that just isn't who he is at this point...
he is Tyler Myers.... not Pronger, not Weber, not Chara, and not Karlsson. |

We wont see them till 2-3 years down the road! I love the idea of draft picks but i also love the idea of young prospects that can come in and play next year. |

Agreed... I think Pommer is a great person to have on this team... he just isn't a great captain of this team...
he had a career year last year... |

I'm pretty sure he's a sophomore, I feel like he'll make the NHL jump as soon as he's done w/ college. |

And production. Look at his numbers. This is getting ridiculous. If he didn't get that huge contract from Regeir and we had a decent top pairing besides him, he would be absolutely fine. He's under pressure to be this Norris trophy winner for some reason. |

I think with Leino it was more about playing with a guy named Briere in Philly.Briere can make anyone into a superstar .While were talking about Leino yea one good hit was all it took again. This guys not going to stay healthy anymore. |

I love how no one here understands that Myers broke his wrist and got a Boxer's fracture in his hand last year...
I have a boxer's fracture in my hand too.. they never heal.. and you cannot punch something without breaking your hand once it happens... it rebreaks almost every time you try to punch with force.
yea... what a wuss... he didn't drop his gloves.. and break his hand and sit out for a month while it heals..
TOTALLY WORTH IT!!.... NOT. |

Agreed, the last 2 games we have given up 5 goals and Myers has played 53 minutes and hasn't been on the ice for a goal. He's been fine since he's been benched, just not dominant |
