Who knows what is going on. All we know is the only trade the Avs made was letting a physical d-prospect (area of big need) go for another center. Wow.

Yea I was thinking the same thing. Though is Stastny wasn't on the IR I think Sherman would have gotten alot of calls for him for a buying playoff team. Too bad we can't move Jones, his contract is ridiculous and we may be stuck him unless we buy him out.

This team needs a complete facelift, starting upstairs in the office all the way down to behind the bench and then on the ice.

I dont know why, maybe bc we have been talkign about it for so long on here, but I do get a feeling that some sort of changes are coming.

If we get the 1st overall pick, I think its the time to do the complete purge of a franchise. New GM, New Coach, just a brand new approach to things to do it right this time

There needs to be some change in the front office. Whether its Lacroix,Sherman,or Sacco.(all would be best) Look around the NHL teams who have made coaching/management changes the past few years and seen improvement.(and sometimes dramatic improvement) Tor,Mtl,Stl,Ana,Chi,Pit,NYI,etc. We have good pieces in place and when healthy this team is very exciting. Fix that d-core with Seth Jones and a UFA signing(a good one, no more of this plan C sh**) WAKE UP KROENKE!

He is a pure set up man.
A natural of turning the puck over in his own zone which leads to a goal, especially on the PK

At least we got something for O'Bryne. It basically gives us a chance to restock a guy like Bournival which we gave up for him. I wish we still had him though.

This will be our opening day squad if we dont make any moves this offseason.
So thats will leave us Elliott, Seimens, Jones (hopefully) as main D Prospects.

Vincour will be in the minors, wont see the Avs roster. Hishon is key right now, if he looks healthy and ready, that solidifies the Centre Depth.

Fourth Period was reporting that Avs are listening to offers for Johnson at the same level as Yotes and Preds, arent trying to move them but if an offer that comes along that they like, they are not against the move if they feel it betters the club long term.

I know I read that too, and I wasnt surprised. When you ahve 3 incompetent people believing in eachother of course there wont be any changes.

But honeslty it just sends the wrong message to the fans, that they are ok with inconsistent coaching and team play but dont worry we have potential in a young core that eventually their skill will offset the poor management and win us a few games.

Honestly, not much to say about him. He is a big guy, but reacts slow and does turnover the puck alot. His PK ability is nothing to write home about either. He checks and takes the body well, but overall not a top 4 defenseman. But maybe a change of scenery will do him good. I wish him the best on the Maple Leafs.

We made him a second pairing dman bc we were desperate with injuries. But when we traded for him he couldnt even crack the Habs line up, in the end he really is a 6th/7th Dman

Didn't say anything relating to Sacco, just the team foundation. With Duchene, Parenteau O'Reilly, Landeskog, Johnson, Varlamov and a support cast that includes Giguere, McGinn, Downie, McLeod, Mitchell, Olver, Hejda and the prospects of Barrie, Elliott and Siemens, I'm inclined to agree that the FOUNDATION is fine. I still think they're better than they are playing. Just too many bottom pairing dmen and horribly mismanaged/misused.

The team roster itself is solid. It's the stuff at the top that's the question. Coach, GM, President and owner. But the roster has the talent to be competitive though.
