The Flyers didn't get swindled making the deal for Rosehill since they gave up nothing. It's just an ass backwards, reactionary type deal that makes zero sense.
If Giroux takes a big hit tonight, Rosehill will descend from the rafters like the Blue Blazer and inflict justice upon any wrong doers. - PLindbergh31
What the Tarterus?!? That's Rosehill's music! |

I really wish there was a way to pry Carlson away from Washington. If my opinion, Carlson > Yandle by a lot. - jmatchett383
They'd probably take Voracek off our hands, or Matt Read and our top 6 first round pick this season for him.
He could have been a Flyer if Homer had kept that pick he traded for Eminger that day. One of Homer's worst moves, although it involves looking through the retrospective scope to know what Carlson was going to be.
Still a first rounder for Eminger was not good. |

It's possible. There would likely be a short-term initial improvement for both teams. Would it be sustainable?
I like JT. I know many here don't, though. - Scoob
Gotta think that limiting shots and a team D approach would help the FLyers.
Letting the Rangers horses up front go in Lava's system would work for them and they have the all world goal tender to bail them out. |

You don't think Lava's pressure O and Torts D first mentality would fit the other teams players better? - nails
I don't think their attitudes are all that different and I'm not sure the Rangers can play a pressure first system up front other than a couple of their players like Callahan who already plays that way. |

Well I'm taking my dog to the park for a few hours. Sticking around watching this abominable coverage is an exercise in futility. |

John Carlson is an American Hero. OT game winner was the first WJC game I ever watched. |

I would find a way to get Bernier and one of LA's D prospects.
That would be a great place to start - nails
Maybe the Flyers could get smart and start talking to Nashville about Chet too. They need to get a top 3 pick this year or things will get that much worse. No one out there to buy. |

True on the pressure system.
How dumb was it for the rangers to let Prust go only to trade away a line's worth of picks for Clowe? |

I am really becoming optimistic homer isnt going to do anything dumb. Still would like to see them sell and get picks back. this organization's prospect depth is soooo thin. not having first or second round picks between 2008-2010 (well Sbisa moved) hasnt helped
Hmmm so the Flyers claim Adam Hall.....Santorelli by the Jets |

It's pathetic that the Rangers have become what they always were even with the Cap system in place. They can't get out of their own way. |
