Talbot is better overall but Hall is the better skater.
- Glak18

Hall is better at the dot, too.

Adam Hall does "Max Talbot"-like things, yes.

Could also mean Homer's got something lined up for Rusty Fedotenko.

- johndewar

agreed. Feds has some value, and will probably be gone.

not as much value in Gagne and Knuble, but you never know.

Just heard Homer is in talks with Shjon Podein...

Meh. I'd rather he reach out to Adam Oates, like Carchidi suggested. Hall and Oates would look good on the fourth line together.

If they trade Coots then they can move B. Schenn to the 3rd line where he belongs.
- Glak18

I think moving one of them depends on what you think about Laughton

What on earth kind of logic could there be in anyone's mind for them picking up Adam Hall off waivers? Has Holmgren lost his mind? I can see them moving Fedotenko or Gagne or both today for picks but for crying out loud, bring up guys from the Phantoms to replace them for the rest of the year. Does our farm system suck that bad? Try McGinn/Wellwood/Noebels/whoever and see what they do; there's no better time than now.

If it's to teach the forwards how to play 2-way hockey, I'm on board with it.

geez, calm down. he didn't even cost anything.

Hall is a good pickup as a replacement for Talbot. They obviously think they have a shot at that 8th seed, considering we have a couple of games in hand.

Holmgren's strategy is to stockpile 7th dmen and 13th forwards.

Two bonafied NHL forwards who can score leaving us for two largely unproven but great potential young guys at position of need.
it's risky and signals a full reuild if something like that happens.

- nails

Still with the team since Cup run:
Giroux
Briere
Hartnell
Timmonen
Coburn

Gagne and Boucher left and cam back.

Sounds like a rebuild already.

sigh i guess homer is going to completely drop the ball this season no weber no parise no semin no suter no assets acquired at the TDL why even play this season
- 2Real

Please tell me what assets they should have acquired at the TDL?

Realistic trades that both teams would make not fantasy world Read and Rinaldo for Stamkos type deals. Or the ever popular WIP610 fan deal of "why cant they just trade a few picks for a top goalie" because trades don't require two teams to make it happen.

The only reason you even mention Weber, Parise and Suter is because he did everything he could to try and get them. In the end Nashville matched and the other two players chose a different team.

I am all for complaining about the Flyers this season I just don't get people that use the above as justification to complain about them.
