Adam Hall, Kent Huskins, Jay Rosehill..... Will any of these guys actually play for philly or will they all be sent to the ahl?
- oliethegolie

Huskins played in the last game IIRC, and with Talbot out Hall's gotta be for the NHL roster.

I like what Homer is doing. Hall takes the loss of Talbot a tiny bit easier to deal with. It's most likely only for the year. He is doing moves to keep the season alive, but not moving young strong pieces for guys that ony help this year

Holmgren's strategy is to stockpile 7th dmen and 13th forwards.
- phillydentist

I think moving one of them depends on what you think about Laughton
- nails

Laughton looked impressive with his short stint, but don't they all. Same Flyers mold...defensive and gritty with offensive potential.

Richards
Downie
Couturier
Laughton

Same old recycling.

Huskins has already played for us as our D is nearly crippled.

And Hall is likely to play with Talbot done for the season.

Rosehill is...coin toss.

Please tell me what assets they should have acquired at the TDL?

Realistic trades that both teams would make not fantasy world Read and Rinaldo for Stamkos type deals. Or the ever popular WIP610 fan deal of "why cant they just trade a few picks for a top goalie" because trades don't require two teams to make it happen.

The only reason you even mention Weber, Parise and Suter is because he did everything he could to try and get them. In the end Nashville matched and the other two players chose a different team.

I am all for complaining about the Flyers this season I just don't get people that use the above as justification to complain about them.

Rosebud will be lucky to see more than 2 or 3 games the rest of the way. The other guys are needed to fill in for all the injuries.

What on earth kind of logic could there be in anyone's mind for them picking up Adam Hall off waivers? Has Holmgren lost his mind? I can see them moving Fedotenko or Gagne or both today for picks but for crying out loud, bring up guys from the Phantoms to replace them for the rest of the year. Does our farm system suck that bad? Try McGinn/Wellwood/Noebels/whoever and see what they do; there's no better time than now.
- phillydiehard

Hall can PK, play a checking line role, and he is good on faceoffs...something which the team sorely needs. Talbot is out, the price was right, and it frees Holmer to move a guy like Fedotenko if the right deal comes along. Not a bad pick up at all.

Adam Hall does "Max Talbot"-like things, yes.

Could also mean Homer's got something lined up for Rusty Fedotenko.

- johndewar

yeah I just said the same thing to someone. that is what I am hoping.

McKenzie saying Hannan to the Sharks close.

I don't think Couts is in the gritty mold at all.

I'm still waiting for his offensive-potential to be revealed.

Still with the team since Cup run:
Giroux
Briere
Hartnell
Timmonen
Coburn

Gagne and Boucher left and cam back.

Sounds like a rebuild already.

- mayorofangrytown

It does.
And honestly, I am in favor of such, especially since Briere and Timmonen are about toast AND are on that list.
I really wish Danny wasn't injured. He would be worth what Iggy was worth, or at least Jagr.

Couturier was listed as the #1 rated guy at one point. Honestly I don't see him as recycling. and as far as Richards, he was taken in a draft where they took skill in Carter. Carter and Richards was a heck of a haul in one draft.

"Blockbuster deal" affecting a chunk of the youthful core going down in T minus 5, 4, 3....

If it's to teach the forwards how to play 2-way hockey, I'm on board with it.
- Flyskippy

They brought Gagne in to do that, at his age and injury history still shows he is better than pretty much everyone on the team.

It's the "Rivalry Game" on NBCSN.

BTW: I hope they continue that next year. Love the 7:30 Wednesday rivalry game.

- johndewar

hopefully, Homer will have acquired 2 Dmen off the waiver wire prior to game time

Hall is useless. I don't want to hear, hey the won a few games and they think they can be the 8th seed. You have to be a total Moron to think thisteam has a shot to win the cup which is the goal.

Hall does nothing Wellwood couldn't do.

read G Voracek
Hartnell Schenn Simmonds
gagne Cooter Rinaldo
Knuble Feds McGinn/Rosehill

just run with that till this year from hell is over.
