You are delusional.
Just get in? This team is not a just get in team that can turn it around. - flyers2001
It's unlikely, no doubt, but so were the Kings last season.
If the Flyers can play solid defensively around Bryz, anything can happen.
Is it likely? Nope.
Let's see if they can win 3 in a row before anything else... |

If we sneak in, we'll have Grossmann back and maybe one of Coburn/Meszy. Briere is likely in for the playoffs, where he thrives.
I wouldn't be shocked if the Flyers got swept in the first round, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they made a run. You just don't know. - steelydan
I think there would be more than a few heart attacks if the Flyers won the cup this year |

Hall is a real solid pick up on waivers. At the very least he can take some of the defensive zone draws that Giroux is taking now. People complaining about it are literally just complaining to complain.
That's more boring that rehashing the Zolnierczyk for Rosehill trade |

It's the "Rivalry Game" on NBCSN.
BTW: I hope they continue that next year. Love the 7:30 Wednesday rivalry game. - johndewar
And it is 7:30, not 7 as bill has in the blog. I don't like the 7:30 start time myself. I end up working later and not getting to bed on time.
So far so good on not trading youth. Scrabble wasn't much, although I liked him better than Rosebud.
Picking up Hall on waivers is fine. No assets gone. |

Could of had Dougie Hamilton, although I don't blame them for picking Coots, Hamilton would be much better for this team. Look through the history of drafting and I see players they should of taken at the time of the draft that still urk me. - Glak18
Can't beat yourself over that. Really hard to nail the picks like that.
Hamilton would have had a harder time stepping in here because the supporting cast isn't as good as in Boston. He is still having struggles there. |

This team has two straight wins against playoff-caliber teams and points in 3 straight. No one has said they've turned it around yet, but the team is competing, which is something that was not evident a few weeks ago. |

What on earth kind of logic could there be in anyone's mind for them picking up Adam Hall off waivers? Has Holmgren lost his mind? I can see them moving Fedotenko or Gagne or both today for picks but for crying out loud, bring up guys from the Phantoms to replace them for the rest of the year. Does our farm system suck that bad? Try McGinn/Wellwood/Noebels/whoever and see what they do; there's no better time than now. - phillydiehard
In Hockey, there are role players. You need veteran experienced players to fill roles such as on the Penalty Kill, and to play well defensively. And to to take faceoffs. Adam Hall can do all of that. And help replace what they lost in Talbot. And the cost is zilch. Other then the minimal amount of Cap space. That's the logic behind claiming Hall. Very good move. |

Coburn could potentially play if they make the playoffs.
Forget about Mezsaros until next season.

maybe, maybe not.
But neither do I just want to give up on the season. - FlyerGuy
Thats because your a die hard, which is fine in flyerland.
BTW, I am not saying to make any dumb trades or anything. I just prefer they play young players at this point and put them in different situations to see what they really have heading into the offseason.
I like that Lauridsen played over Foster. |

Psshh.. he only has 135 more points than Rosehill and Z combined.. Flyers would have been better off resigning Kent Manderville |

not a fan of the Rosebud trade at all, but Hall is definitely a solid little pickup by Homer ... despite what some here think.

I just like that he's a decent faceoff guy. I'd look at bringing him back next year to handle a 4th line role.
Seems that people forget that there's 4 lines. Not every move is a superstar |

Well he was good on penalty shots...could only improve the Flyers pathetic shootout games. |
