Scott Hannan to Sharks for a condition 6th/7th rounder.
So they replaced Douglas Murray for a 6th rounder at worst |

On a quick lunch break with no time to backread, so anything significant happen so far today in regards to the flyers? Thanks in advance! |

And it is 7:30, not 7 as bill has in the blog. I don't like the 7:30 start time myself. I end up working later and not getting to bed on time.
So far so good on not trading youth. Scrabble wasn't much, although I liked him better than Rosebud.
Picking up Hall on waivers is fine. No assets gone. - bodiva88
I like 7:30 start. Allows me to watch an inning or two of Doc against the Braves lineup. I'm more annoyed that there was an off-day yesterday for the Phils-Braves. That would've been a beautiful thing yesterday. |

free pickup to help with the loss of talbot. I don't see why its a bad thing - nastyflyergirl
Because he's not a top pair puck moving defenseman or sniping winger |

I just like that he's a decent faceoff guy. I'd look at bringing him back next year to handle a 4th line role.

Thats because your a die hard, which is fine in flyerland.
BTW, I am not saying to make any dumb trades or anything. I just prefer they play young players at this point and put them in different situations to see what they really have heading into the offseason.
I like that Lauridsen played over Foster. - flyers2001
the point is that they can STILL play the younger players a couple of weeks from now, if it turns out we can't get that 8th seed.
Acquiring Hall or any other bandaid-type of player today allows them to keep fighting for the playoffs, without giving up any of the young guys. |

But he is another teams garbage...
Wait.. he's played 591 games and on 6 different teams?

You can not compare this Flyers team with that Kings team, its not even close. - flyers2001
It's more about a team clicking at the right time than comparing one team to another. |

Hall has won 54% of his draws this year but has under 200 on the year.
He HAS scored 0ver 12 goals 3 times, so he isn't inept. |

He's a lot of team's garbage. Decent 4th liners tend to move around a lot. Kind of like decent middle relievers in baseball |

Yeah congrats you picked up another 13th forward.
The Flyers have been reduced to picking up other teams garbage, because their own farm system is in shambles. - flyers2001
The last post you said players on the farm team should come up because Hall is a waste. How can that be if the farm system is in shambles? Bottom line is none of the players that you listed can give the team what Hall can. |
