Meh, a third round pick was probably the enticement to take the bag of used goalie equipment with the #41 on it. - MBFlyerfan
Leights was immediately thereafter placed on waivers and Homer picked him back up. |

He says: "Leighton and a third-round pick to Philly" That would mean that Philly is also getting Leighton, which we know is not true. I think we lost the 3rd, not gained it. - steelydan

Frank Seravalli @DNFlyers 1m I think people are forgetting Marian Gaborik had 41 freaking goals last year and 76 points. Tough year this year? Yes. But give him credit.

I have an open mind on Mason. They can likely recoup the 3rd rounder by trading Fedotenko - Jsaquella
Yeah, but that's a serious cluster(frank) considering Mason was moved because Bobrovsky is a better goalie...
It's actually quite a bit worse that pathetic. |

Didn't Giroux have 93 pts at age 24? - Jimmygrazz
Are you not getting it or just confused? Young gun (S)! Young player (S) have to produce in the modern NHL while they have low contracts.
BTW: How is Giroux producing this year? How is the team doing? *cough* #WakeUp |

fck, I knew it was too good to be true
3rd rd for Mason is a bit steep, especially since the third rder this year is almost a late second rd pick

CBJ trades Dorsett who is out for the season with an injury.
We couldn't prop Danny B up in a corner somewhere, Weekend at Bernie's style, and got a 6th for him? |

All it is, is taking a shot on a 24 year old guy that was a rookie of the year a few years ago. |

Craig Button says that Bryz is going to get bought out in June for sure - Jsaquella

I read it was originally Mason for a fifth. But after Homer insisted Leighton be included, it became a third. |

Mason makes 2x as much as Bob, is about the same age as Bob, and his best SV% in the last 4 years was .901. The Flyers just gave up a 3rd for a salary dump on Columbus's part.
Remind me why the Flyers got rid of a Bob? Both Mason and Bob are RFAs next year and about the same age. The main differences are that Mason costs alot more in salary and hasn't performed nearly as well.

Well Luongo got traded...most likely Toronto |
