LeBrun might as well as have just come out and said that Phoenix wants Couturier.
He would be considered a local boy there, right? - johndewar
yea, born in AZ |

Yeah just today. It's a prop bet on a website I use. I went with the over. These little rinky dink trades of minor league players count. - PLindbergh31
Even with that.. i think its gonna be close. But hell, ya never know. There could be a total arms race depending on how a few teams decide to go. |

Bodog had it as 16.5 on Monday, at least according to Duthie in the TC open |

If Phoenix's price on Yandle comes down, perhaps they add a major piece. But it has to be a long term deal. No picks for veterans today.
If anything, I'd be OK if they claimed Mike Sanotrelli on waivers and then traded Fedotenko and Knuble, calling up Wellwood and riding out the season. - Jsaquella
this. I'd even be ok with moving Gagne (altho I want him back in the summer if the price is right) |

I think they've kicked tires as due diligence, no more and no less. Ek is connected with people high up in the Flyers' chain as well as many prominent agents and players. He gets a lot of information that sounds off the wall but has actually been thrown out there by one source or another as a possibility. However, that doesn't mean a team is actually going to make a particular move -- especially one that sounds like the odds of it happening are slim to none. - bmeltzer
Thanks Bill. I think phrases like "top the list" make it sound like more than just due diligence. |

It surely didnt seem to have any lasting affect on guys like Richards, Carter, Lupul, Coburn, or any of the other young guys on that 06 team we dont speak of. I am not worried about confidence as much as I am about bad habits.... but the coach and gm dont seem overly worried about that either. - jak521
No, but they were also completely dead in the water at the end of the year, and actually played well at the end of the year.
I hate seeing them lose. Not going to lie. Hate it. |

BOB RYAB was raised in California.
TJ Brennan would have been a great hometown boy addition, he grew up in Moorestown |

Asking price on Ben Bishop right now: 2nd-round pick with either a player or a prospect
I would be fine with the second round pick. It's the other part that could be tricky. |

Over/Under 16 trades today? - PLindbergh31
considering there has been 13 trades in the 48 hrs leading up to the deadline this year opposed to 2 last year, I think under |

I would wait till after the lottery to trade any pick. |

Quite possibly. If it turns out to be the under, I might be eating ramen noodles for dinner for the next week. |

Adding Bishop, gives you flexibility to buyout Bryzgalov if you choose to do so. And at the very least gives you a credible backup. |

They would also need to figure out what to do with Bryz and Danny Briere by that point. |

true about Ryan but his family all lived in Northeast Philly and he in Cherry Hill before they had to up and flee to California. He is a big time Flyers fan. Would love to see him in the O & B once he is a UFA if the price is right. agree about Brennan too. definitely would have fit a need. what is ironic is he was drafted with the 2nd round pick the Flyers gave Buffalo for Biron. out of the 3 local kids that draft, he was the one I was hoping the Flyers would draft. oh well |

With Brennan, he went to Florida for a 5th rounder. I'd have been all over that.
It's just funny that so many people swoon over Bobby Ryan, but TJ Brennan is a local guy and nobody knows or gives a poop. |

There's so much goaltending depth available on the cheap, that I wouldn't trade a 2nd round pick for a guy. |

I take trade deadline and free agency day off every year (yes I am a hockey geek). i think this one is going to be a yawner overall. |

would be up for that myself. then when bryz comes back nxt yr, he would be evaluated w/ a credible b/u and we could move on if bishop continues to show well and bryz continues to hover right at .900 sv %. |
