just a tad condescending, don't you think?

Only if you actually care about his opinion, which I don't.
He's right. Not a college grad. I need a few more credits. Guess I've been a little too busy working since age 13 to finish it off. Not going to complain, though. I'm very contented with my life. I have fun.
I guess if I needed a piece of paper to make me feel better I could go and take classes to get it, but I'm pretty content that I can spend that time with my kids. |

It's hard to really judge him behind the shambles this team has been.
I'd still wait on a buyout. I worry about the cap recapture, as well as everyone else's cable bill, as much as performance level.
As for Mason, would he get $2mm as a UFA? I really think that would be the drum the Flyers would beat in a prolonged contract talk. Without the complete data, it's only guesswork at what the Flyers will do. - Jsaquella
We will see. Just a weird vibe Im getting.
Ship out Bobrovsky because he costs too much yet has real promise, but bring in a guy who will probably cost the same and has promise along with being broken mentally. |

Well, when you're giving your best and it isn't enough because the rest of the team gives rarely gives you more than 2 goals of support, it can cause confidence issues. Much like the goalie supposedly causes confidence issues in 18 others every year. - Flyskippy
I smell what you're cooking but Bryz is not the first or last goalie to play behind a crappy defensive team. It's not unprecedented for goalies in that situation to still play well or at least put up decent numbers. |

I'd be asking who paid for this "college education". Tells a lot usually.

And I was correct again.
Didn't mean to get personal like that though. Seriously.
But you were the one with the friggin gall for a HS grad to insult someone with a doctorate degree. LMFAO
Edit: insult as in calling me a "moron" and "dumb" for stating my opinion. I would not do that to anyone here for stating their opinion. |

I really don't think it was about costing too much. I think it was about knowing they were going to sign a Goalie who was going to play a lot. Bobrovsky wasn't going to play much, and he wasn't waiver exempt. And he had good value in a trade.

You know... I was to a degree beating this drum to start the season and for the first while.
I wouldn't say I am the biggest supporter but I give the guy one more season, under an improved D core, and some rest here and there.
No goaltender, especially a guy like Mason who needs more than anything to regain confidence, will put up consistent great numbers with this squad unless they focus on the defensive game. |

I don't know if you saw tonight's game. But it was the first game I saw in a while. Missed both games over the past weekend. But the Flyers for the most part played solid defensively. They are playing with far less reckless aggression. And better overall. Good to see tonight. Plus, they are playing with more desperation. |

They really are. It's almost like all the injuries on defense has forced them to play a slightly more conservative game.
Whatever it is, I hope they keep it up. |

Nope, but you'll happily flaunt your education as if that makes you somehow better.
You're kind of like Andy Kauffman doing his wrestling gag, "I'm from Hollywood, I'm better and smarter than you"
I'm glad I don't need a degree to do a constant reach around on my ego. But hey, whatever gets ya through the night, Doc. |

The forwards seem to be doing a better job of supporting the defensemen. Luke Schenn is really logging a lot of minutes, and making the other defensemen better after for the most part not playing with Kimmo much. |

Agree, no matter who's in net, they gotta improve the D and team D.
Getting a 24 y/o goalie back in the organization can't hurt though and they didn't give up much at all. |

I didnt see the whole thing, tuned in halfway through the 2nd.
They are playing smarter it seems to me. Not running around as much. Maybe that comes down to just confidence.
They were aggressive as hell in the 3rd, but it paid off. I still dont have a problem with them playing an aggressive style, but that just means guys being aware of who is pinching and focusing on little details.
You are getting at the notion that Lava made adjustments? |

Dude, you are the one that started with the insults and followed by asking if I went to tin foil hat school of dentistry. Big talk for a HS grad.
I stand up for myself and you call that flaunting. Ridiculous.
It's OK not to be educated but you lack class too. |

The Boston game they played a very good defensive game. Sure there were points where the Bruins controlled the play, but given their talent level, that's to be expected. But the Flyers did a great job in puck support.
The game against the Caps was a little more sloppy, but still, not bad at all. Toss out the double minor on Voracek that led to 2 PPGs against, and they were very solid looking. |

Apparently Gervais logged the 2nd highest ice-time of the defensemen. That's unexpected, but he and Gus have been playing well, and Huskins and Oliver L. seem to be holding their own as well.
Hope it continues. |

No, it's not. Dominik Hasek's early years in Buffalo were all about putting up great numbers with a paltry team in front of him.
Still... when you're looking at issues this team has, goaltending isn't at the top. Team defense and scoring have both been subpar this season to date. |

Luke Schenn has been a rock. I said a while ago that the Flyers got burned on that trade. Schenn is really putting it up my ass.
I wouldnt rely on Guss to be the slotted #6 d-man next season, but he made a damn nice play there at the end. Need balls for that. |

You seem threatened enough to drag this out. Is your doctorate from an accredited school or like DeVry? Are you sure you're a dentist and not the oral hygienist? |
