Good for him. This is why we shouldnt rush to judge, none of us were there, none of us knows what really happened. - BiggE
I'm not surprised by the blow back I'm reading. Half the people think the girl is a whore and the other half think the players got away with rape because they are members of a hockey team.
People can't accept that something happened and after looking at the evidence the prosecution saw no way to get a conviction because of conflicting testimony and lack of evidence.
It's a shame people need to way in on things so sensitive with their biased opinions. There's really nothing to feel good about. |

Dunno if that is speculation or what, But I hope they do....people on the Flyers FB page were lamenting about us trading for Bob's Backup LOL which I get, but Mason is actually a Technically sound goalie who had a great rookie season. When you park S**t Teams in front of your young goalie season after season, YEAH, he is bound to struggle...They did slightly overpay but he is good goalkeeper..Hope the change in sweater/city revitalizes this guy..But this IS Philly so we'll have to see - HigginzMask
let's not go overboard. he has to prove he can re-capture some form. he's been crap for 3 yrs running. |

I say give both goalies time before seeing how this ends up. Goalies hit their prime near the middle of their careers. We will see how Bob and Mason will do. Bob is playing well of late but Mason played well at a young age too and his play took a step back. Bob really has no mentor now, Mason has got a veteran goalie in Bryz now to mentor him. I think Bryz is a good goalie but there are times where he just doesn't seem as focused, when he is he is lights out though! |

Tough call between him and Couturier. - shekkie
I didn't read the quote for this and was like "not a tough call between Mason and Couturier in net...." |

This might sound a bit crazy.. but Schenn and Gervais ( ) were not far off themselves - jak521
I kid you not, I think we're starting to see what Luke Schenn can actually do... He's playing huge minutes right now due to the injuries, but he's playing fairly well. I think he could be a legit shutdown man with some more maturity. |

Jesus, people are still on this? He would have made the save on this guy if it hadn't been for Schenn's stick.
I bet half the people who have complained about this have never played goaltender before. |

don't want to see more of what we saw on the habs 3rd goal, but overall, he's been solid. |

Is it just me or does it look like it changes direction after it goes over Bryz's head. It looked as if it was going over the net, Did Bryz get a piece of it? - xShoot4WarAmpsx
I think a part of his glove may have clipped it...
I think we need to relax on this though... Was a bad goal? More or less, but it's not like he was beaten by a clean shot.... The puck was deflected and it came off a quick shot that I don't think the players on the ice or Bryz thought was coming... |

No no, I mean his game isn't fool-proof yet, but I think we're starting to see more of Schenn's ability play good D, and play more minutes. |

looks to me like he saw the low slapper coming and dropped down. The puck deflected up but he was already committed and couldn't get up fast enough. It does look like hes ducking but I don't think it was as bad a goal as everyone is saying. |

Part of the problem on the goal turnover was that he had no support from the rest of the team.. There wasn't an easy outlet for him. So he tried to get fancy and after making it past the first guy he was just out of control enough to let the second step up and take it. So yeah... Not good, but just as I don't blame Bryz for every goal, this one wasn't all Luke's fault either. |

I don't disagree with anything here, but folks defending Bryz on this goal have to be honest with themselves on one thing: Bryz's actual physical contortions just plain looks bad, no matter how you break it down.
It happens. |

Agreed 100% about his needing to Provide proof, but refer to my original statement about the type of team he's played for these past 3 years...He has the raw tools and the skillset that in my humble opinion, Bryz lacks...Now lets see if can step up and develop them...

Unless he has his eyes closed (which wouldn't surprise me)...a deflected puck right at the top of circle with no bodies in front should be a routine save for a pro goaltender. |

Yes, but short schedule or not, this is not a playoff caliber team defensively. I don't have much faith that a player like Gervais will continue to play over his head and the forwards' newfound commitment to two-way play will last. - bmeltzer
Which is exactly why I would love a top pick... I wish they could battle every game and look great... but get unlucky bounces and ultimately get a top pick. Kinda like having your cake and eating it. |

I haven't commented about this, but I will now. Who cares about it being a deflection.. hes a goalie. You don't duck from pucks. And yes, I used to play goalie.. what's that have to do with anything? Goalies don't duck away from pucks.
Its not the first time he's done that this season.. this one happened to go in. |
