Really loving the play of Luke Schenn of late. Blossoming into quite a defenseman with the extra responsibilities he's taken on in the absence of others.

Big time. He's played amazing for the most part lately. Some minor mistakes, but who doesn't make them?

Trading for Bernier and Shattenkirk this off-season would be amazing. I've been a strong Bernier fan since he was a junior, but I'm not sure a Bernier/Mason tandom next season is ideal. Two younger guys battling for the starting spot. A young starter and a vet backing up is ideal. I'm not ready to anoint Mason that "young starter" yet, would like to see him play a bit.

I just think it's funny, with everyone comparing the Schenn/JVR trade, the guy who ends up beating the Leafs is Jay Rosehill. Seriously, the guy takes out their leading scorer, draws penalties and attention from key Toronto players, and then scorers the game winning goal... !

I female doged about that trade, but Rosehill did a very good job last night. He was an active, physical presence and obviously used his ass to get the game winner. If he can do that on a regular basis, he's well worth the price paid.

I'd be a-ok with Homer trading every 2nd round pick he has and ever acquires for the rest of the decade for Pietrangelo

Getting Shattenkirk and Bernier would not only require a tricky feat of cap management, it would require assets that the team is counting on as cornerstones.

Blocked shots are keeping the goal totals from doubling.
