Bryz will NOT be bought out this summer, they will try to trade him away for some low picks either in the summer or before next years trade deadline, if that fails he will get bought out in summer of 14. Brierre has played his last game as a Flyer.

more pressing needs then Bryz. They are going to sign Mason for about 2m and go into next year with both of them. Then if Bryz poops the bed, he will be bought out in the summer of 2014.

I'd be fine with it but they gotta fix the blueline first. Kimo is on borrowed time.

There will not be much of a run if they keep giving up over 3 goals per game(Last three games).
The key to recent wins is scoring five goals per game.

I kinda have to agree with this. We've only been winning because we've been scoring. Next game without a huge score tally and we lose. Although if we do make the play-offs it'll be against Pittsbugh which means that'd give us a shot... They can't play D either...

Part of the factor with Luongo is that the Canucks are just giving him away. They want another team to trade valuable assets and take that contract, as well.

Books don't make people gay. Buy the audio book so you don't have to read it.

I don't get all the bryz talk. I've got no problem getting mason in here for a look. Bryz is playing up to that contract. That is the going rate for a starting UFA goalie who logs a ton of games and has kept a poop show team in playoffs reach for a couple months now

Kimmo will be here next year, at least. They do still need to add another defenseman to the top 4, even with Timonen.

Trade offer for one and offer sheet for the other. LA being Flyers West would be the likely trade offer and Shattenkirk might be only had for trade also.

Both are cornerstones, Shattenkirk more so, and will require us giving up major pieces but I'm fine with that.

Edit: I don't think LA wants to pay Bernier more than $3M a year consdering Quick's cap hit and term so he might be the candidate for the offer sheet. Trade for Shatt.

Excellent point.

This. I know its more of an overall system thats working for them now, but at times I thought Coburn played like the 7th or 8th defenseman on this team.

I remember him having a start like that in the 09-10 season, but then he came back around and finished strong. This year, no. Let's hope a full season with actual practice time turns a lot of players around next year.
