Gotta think that Toronto wishes they kept Rask instead of trading him for Andrew Raycroft. Toronto destroys young goalies worse than the Flyers do. - TrentKlatt
We do not destroy young goalies.
We destroy young players.

Intentional or not, it's still a bad goal. "incidental contact". If the goalie is not able to make a play because of the actions of a player on another team, intentional or not- the goal should be called back. - Feeling Glucky?
Not all incidental contact results in a disallowed goal...
"Incidental contact with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when such contact is initiated outside of the goal crease, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact."
Reimer was outside the crease. Hall was just trying to make his way to the front of the net. Hall did not run into Reimer, which would have been less than reasonable effort. The ref, deemed Reimers stick handle got tied up with Halls stick was incidental... |

HAHAHAHA. Nice. We are close behind you then. Very sink or swim here.
Only the sharks survive. Those delicate flowers who require a few years of development to become beasts do NOT compare to those who come out of the draft ready to eat their own young... We let other teams wipe butts and kiss boo-boos. We cause them!
Or something... I assume something of this nature is up on the wall in the Phantoms locker room. And if it's not it should be.
EDIT: Maybe just included at the bottom of every ELC? |

Incorrect. I absolutely would. But I feel comfortable saying that St. Louis would not. |

No probably not, they like him. Gotta love the cafeteria logic sometimes, right skip? - JoeRussomanno
It amazes me how folks latch onto a guy with seething hatred so that nothing he does can change their opinion - even as he piles up some wins. |

Yeah, development has not been a real strong suit, unless you count development at the NHL level. |

Well... they didn't start hating on him until spring 1995 then it fomented into a torrent of hate by 1997. |

Timonen a game time decision against the Jets, because of course he is. - Jsaquella
How many games in a row have we lost someone to injury. This is starting to get a little crazy even for the flyers. |

You'd have a great argument if Riemer wasn't firmly in the crease. |

One thing that has really impressed me is how calm is he with the puck in the offensize zone. Especially on the PP.
Great to see. - flyer_nutter
Yea I've been saying to put him on PP since 2-3 games into the season. Nice to see him finally get there. I think Schenn has a rocket of a shot. |

Leafs are getting better. Theres actually a coach down with the marlies that develops players. And then the Leafs actually leave them there to learn what it takes, before destroying their confidence. It's (frank)ing bizarre. |

I agree. Pretty clear it was intentional. He closed his hand on the goalie's stick. It was a penalty and it was missed by the refs. Flyers caught a break on the missed call, no doubt in my mind.
As others have said, it's about time we did catch a break on a goalie interference call or non-call. Usually we're the team getting screwed. Maybe this was a little good karma for the Flyers, but it was pretty clearly a miss by the refs. Can't fault the Leafs' fans for being upset. We'd be upset if a similar play against Bryz went uncalled. |

Top of the stick handle wasn't, thus no call.

The point is that it was Riemers stick that got tangled up with a player outside of the crease... |
