Happy to see reasoner not in the line up. Even though I'm not a fan of big tits he should be the choice. Lee needs to go to the bridge. - Cptmjl
Lee didn't sign with the Islanders to play in Bridgeport. He'll play in 5 games so they don't burn one year of his ELC...if they make the playoffs, he'll play every game... |

so when are you going to stop putting your hands in your mouth?
Moulson Tavares Grabner
Bailey Nielson Okposo
Joensuu Aucoin? McDonald
Martin Cizikas Lee?
don't need Boyes with that lineup. Plus leaves available for promotion if they show they're ready in camp or for callups:
Nelson
Nino
Strome
question marks are where I think Nelson could fit in for Aucoin if he shows he's worth a look in camp, and where they could move McDonald down to if Nino looks more ready than Lee.
Moulson Tavares Grabner
Bailey Nielson Okposo
top six set without Boyes
Joensuu Nelson/Strome/Aucoin McDonald/Nino
Martin Cizikas Lee
bottom six has opportunities for prospects to win a role if they can perform.
So why do we need Boyes again? I wouldn't be too terribly upset if they resigned him to play on the third line IF in camp none of the propects look ready, but he has no place in the top six and should be off the PP.
keep in mind as well there is a chance (although small) that snow could bring in a top six winger via trade or ufa signing, although I highly doubt it.

Typical Islander response.
Keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. What's that the definition of? - kencan98
To be honest... there are alot of different opinions on this site.
Some guys know alot about hockey... others, not so much.... |

Tough to say with Cappy but he'll be the most talented player not named Tavares on the roster. It will be tough to keep him out of the top six. |

That's what I'm thinking. I think hes going to be on the wing with Tavares or 2nd line center. |

Who will be the most talented player on the roster not named Tavares?
Is it Bailey? Okposo? Strome? Tambellini? Nillson? Nino? O'Mara? DiPietro?
Which name are we using this year? |

Wow, Lee is already a NHL roster spot. That's quick even for the Islanders.
Nelson has tons of NHL experience. Ready for the first line.
We can use Ninos 3 points in 65 games.
Stop being an Islander and start watching hockey. |

take a look at the lines before you reply with complete crap. Also my notes. Nelson listed as a callup, along with Nino and Strome unless they impress in camp. Lee would be sent down if someone impresses enough to play on the third line, dropping mcdonald down. And all of this is IF snow doesn't bring in a ufa or trade for a top six. Do you even bother to read before you respond with sh!t?
btw, did you happen to notice after Boyes set up Lecavalier with a point blank opportunity he was dropped from the top line?

Now you're judging a player by one shift? Usually for Islanders fans it's a game. They win, it's Cup time, they lose, it's lottery time.
If Snow brings in a UFA it will be to fill in on the first line until the prospects are ready, if they ever are. That UFA is already here. It's Brad Boyes. We aren't getting Iginla and Boyes is the next best option.
Love it or hate it, it's either the Islander way (kill talent or a 40 year old) or Brad Boyes. |

Just saw on twitter that Strome has 5 points in 7+ periods. Pretty decent point per PERIOD production. |

RANGERS FAN!!! - jimmc7722
Actually Isles and Ranger fans are exactly the same.
Rangers do their "wait till next year" on July 1
Islanders do it at the draft.
Neither has worked very well.
Josh Bailey is out Scott Gomez. Okposo is our Wade Redden. Massive expectations and complete "wait till next year" players and all have failed. |
