Actually Isles and Ranger fans are exactly the same.
Rangers do their "wait till next year" on July 1
Islanders do it at the draft.
Neither has worked very well.
Josh Bailey is out Scott Gomez. Okposo is our Wade Redden. Massive expectations and complete "wait till next year" players and all have failed. - kencan98

Not a fan of the team, but a fan of the organization practices that they follow. I respect what they've done and wish the Islanders would do the same. The model they followed is the ideal model for a rebuild. The Islanders did the exact opposite.
And No, I'm not talking about drafting Crosby. I'm talking about getting a top 5 pick and picking a top 5 player then adding pieces through UFA until prospects from other rounds develop (Kennedy is a great example).
The Islanders don't do any of that. They make stupid moves in the draft, sign 40 year old UFAs and have the yearly "This was the guy we wanted" and "We tried but no one wants to play here...we need an arena" press conference. |

looks like JT has hit a wall. They need to get him a legit power forward. For now keep grabner with JT and Molson and get Boyes far away from that line |

Nice win tonight...wish some of these teams would burn their games in hand already. But, forget the other teams. Just keep winning. |

Gotta give your team credit, you have a very likeable team. Lunch pail, solid effort team. Itl be nice to see both teams potentially in the playoffs together. Hell let's get 4 and 5 seeds |

Then give up.
If you're not observant enough to notice the foundation this team has in place and feel things are finally on the right course you probably should just move on. You refuse to accept anything other than your own basic talking points no matter how distorted they may be. I've been on more than a few islander messageboards and have seen your kind plenty of times, though on most occasions it turns out to be a Ranger fan posing as an Islanders fan. Either way, your drive to stay negative compromises your ability to speak rationally. Your audience will continue to shrink.... Starting with me. |

Awesome atmosphere at the game. Felt like the playoffs. Lee looked really good in the offensive zone, but completely lost in the D zone. The kid is gonna be real good, but really needs to learn the pro game in the bridge. Heckuva win tonight though. Felt a little pride leaving the old barn. It's been a while since its felt that way. |
