Thank the lord you're not the GM or the coach.

Perhaps. Perhaps not.
I'd give Ilya one more season, but would have started Mason today.
I'd be getting rid of the chronically stupid, and chronically inconsistent on this team. Briere, Coburn, Hartnell. Replacing with veteran leadership, and players that consistently play hard and smart. |

Few things.
1...Bryz supporters and Im not bashing but there is NO such thing as an "unstoppable" shot at least not the amount people say he lets in. There are things he can do like rebound control, angles etc. Yes this defense isnt the best but they aren't the worst in the league.
2. Wtf happened to Giroux this season? A shell of himself last season, does not having Jagr make that big of a difference? If thats the case then he isn't even close to being the greatest player in the world as Lavy said. - flyerfan28
agreed on giroux. something is a bit off
still a point-per-game player though.
i think he'll be fine in the long run. |

Bryz has had a poor game, but the team has played ridiculously bad in front of him. The defensive zone coverage has been as poor as any from earlier this year.
This is a total team effort. |

Honestly though, I think they are. Look at who they are icing.
That along with the minutes Bryzgalov has played, makes it hard to judge him completely. The no stoppable shot though, is an excuse to a degree. Elite goaltenders make big saves. Help stop the bleeding when breakdowns happen.
He is tired probably though for sure. |

could see this coming a mile away. really dont get why Mason didnt get the start. - Crimsoninja
Sure you do. In the midst of a 4 game win streak with little room for error in a shortened season, so you think that you can afford to ride Bryz. Plus, Mason hasn't been lighting it up this year. And a day off on Friday. This isn't shocking by any account.... |

Agreed 100% last year g dominated almost every shift. This year maybe one good shift a game. Yes he's had a few really good games especially of late but overall big diSapPointment. Expect him to bounce back next year thou. Hope so anyways |

Moves can always be made.
Streit and Giordano would be my main targets.
On offense I'd watch Morrow and Jagr to see how much fire they have left in their game. |

Definately. They had a bit of a run when they got their lead.
The rest of the game the Jets have taken it to them. Sitting back so much after that lead kills. Despise that strategy. |

call me crazy, but I think the Flyers can make this a game. They probably won't win, but I think this will be a one goal game before we know it.
needless to say, the Jets will need to sit back here in the 3rd for the Flyers to have a shot. |

Put Mason in.
They have 20 minutes left, lets see what the "comeback kids" can do.
Edit: If the organization buys out Bryzgalov they have to put themselves at blame to a degree. They didnt set it up properly to evaluate him. No back-up goalie burned his ass to the ground. |

He isnt the biggest guy but that grit hasnt been there nearly enough.
He has played too fancy and been relying on his skill far too much. |
