2017-18, when that player hits the NHL ice for the first time, will be a hard year to endure because of that player's success. - Flyskippy

The thing about bryz that bugged me early on is his puck control. Is it me or does it seem like he ALWAYS does the wrong thing when he has the puck for more than a second? I wish he'd just learn to flip it into the neutral zone to whoever - Just5
Hes not very good with the puck on his stick which is surprising. I dont remember him not being able to handle it when playing elsewhere during his career. |

That one is the trade that SHOULD be complained about the most. Tore apart the best D pairing in hockey.

Agreed, Clarke should have been canned in 88 after that asinine move! |

Mine was Brindy. I (frank)ing hated that trade right away I was young and thought what the hell did he do wrong. Now that I'm older I think what the hell did he do wrong |

Nah we should female dog because a 2015 3rd rounder was traded for Mason. Best third rounder evah!! - Jsaquella
I believe that pick is worth trading for Mason. At 24 years old and he has shown he can be good its worth the risk on his potential. |

If the Flyers didn't do it, it would be awesome, but we know it will fail because the Flyers are huge poopy heads |

not only is he not good handling the puck, but he seems to almost always make the wrong decision. he rarely just makes a good, safe little play.
I don't hate Bryz like some, so I don't want to sound like I'm bashing the guy needlessly. |

I didn't see many people who are against it to be honest. I think most people like the move and want to see Mason get the start. |

I remember being pissed off at the Paul Holmgren trade. He was my favorite Flyer.

He'll never be any good and Columbus will draft the next Bobby Clarke with that pick. Guaranteed.

Well... Some people are Bryz haters because they hate Bryz. Some like to complain about Bryz because, well... they like to complain. They find a common bond in Bryz, so I guess it's nice for such acrid personalities to share something close to their blackened hearts with others.

He has some holes in his game. His defense hasn't been great but Bryz hasn't been anything special either. He started the season like a monster in net but hes been just okay lately. The Flyers need more out of him imo. |

Not sure. I lean towards no, but if they're simply going to wait a year for the sake of waiting a year, might as well cut bait, get a stopgap and have him split time with Mason.
If all they're gonna do is pay lip service to keeping Bryz past next season, cut the cord now, see what Mason can do before waiting until next year and making the same mistake. - Jsaquella
I think your initial gestalt the last several days (at least leanings) to amnesty Bryzgalov has been right on. Could you explain to me the benefits and risks of keeping him next year vs 2014 in your mind. Thx |

So was I... My favorite Flyer of all time, but at least it gave him a chance to win in Boston. The Flyers were headed into non-contention for a while. |

Worst goalie ever. 40th in save percentage. He sucks |

Just getting my Ben Bishop prediction on the record, so it's not Monday morning quarterbacking.
3 years from now he will be 40th in the NHL in save %, with a 5+ million dollar cap hit. Then, and only then will he be the answer.
Sincerely,

Everyone has an opinion. Some people like to be positive and negative. I try to listen to both sides. Thats what makes talking hockey fun. You get a variety of different opinions. |

I have always been open to the idea, but preferred to wait until next summer and see if they could get more out of him behind a better defensive team. But despite a much improved team focus on defense, his game has still been inconsistent and very concerning |

Not sure if it's ironically funny that you call other spin doctors, or just funny that you don't seem to realize you spin poop in a negative manner more than any other poster on this site |

Do you believe there is any contract elements that might force the organization to buy him out this upcoming summer. Ie. Actual realized salary jump to 8 million which would be the highest for the rest of the contract... vs say 23 million over 14 years or about actual realized salary of 1.65 million. Thx |

To be fair you could pay less $ and get the same results from another goalie.
Thats not ripping Bryz apart but its the truth. He needs to be better. I know you have said that yourself many of times. |
