I'm a HUGE fan of the movie Rounders. A few months ago i tweeted Rounders' screenwriter Brian Koppelman to ask if a sequel was in the works. Never heard back.

The other day, when Roger Ebert passed, Koppelman tweeted a nice salute to Eebs and said about the renowned critic, 'his reviews mattered to me.'

I re-asked the question about Rounders 2 and this time Koppelman replied saying he 'hoped so'.

I told him via Twitter about one of many great exchanges i loved in Rounders. Near the end of the film...a bowed but not broken Matt Damon has a final scene with his ex-gf played by Gretchen Mol. She recoils in shock when she sees his mug that had taken a few fists to it a few nights before and she says

'You look like hell'

To which a confidently reinvigorated Damon says

"You shoulda seen me yesterday'.

The man who wrote that scene hit the 'favorite' button.

Nice work......lots of great actors in that movie....Damon, Norton, Malkovich, and turtro. I am big fan of a great story. Will take a drama over an overdone special effect movie any day. Saw One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest when I was 11....changed my life.
