It was pretty innocent, just a more visually appealing (to some) goal keeping failure.
But then it got struck down by...

The more I think about it I agree with jsaq. It was worth the risk to get him. We didn't up much so risk was worth it |

Bah, we'll just trade him at the draft and come up with two more new goalies somehow. |

So, after the morning skate today, somebody asked Bryz about a possible amnesty buyout, then the follow-up was did he want to be on the Flyers next year.
Because Mason gets a start, this is what the wonderful Philly media comes up with. Anything for a good quote they can run with til the end of the season.

We are the end of the line. All good goalies come here to die.
You know there's a problem when the analysts laugh when discussing "finding your game as a goalie in Philly." |

They wouldn't ask if they knew he'd give a good answer. Space cadet said he didn't care. Sigh. And that's why it's news. His reasoning was he can't impact whether of not he gets bought out so he won't care about that issue. But the direct quotes imply he's uninterested in the Flyers and that miffs fans cuz yah know what!? I do give a poop! |

The Philly Sports media "report" (aka twist) direct quotes worse than anyone. That includes Fox News.
I wish Pronger were here to lay the law down on these fools. |

Yep. He's a good quote because he says the simplest thing he knows how to to get to the next question. Instead of, "right now, we're concentrating on the game in front of us, and then the next one. I can't think about that now", he says, "I can't control that; I don't care." Does it mean the same thing? I hope so. But paraphrasing doesn't get typed up.

Maybe we should insist that all our goalies don't speak English so the media will leave them alone. |

I still can't figure out why the Flyers aren't starting Bryz tonight. He's the 2nd highest paid backup in the league and you rest him in an elimination game. I swear to god that Lavi does this just so people think he's crazy. |

He's been in the league for 10 years, is intelligent and understands english well. Bryz brings it on himself with the media. I believe his old teammates in Phoenix said as much but let's not let the facts get in the way of a Bryz pity party. |

There are good answers to that question. A previous poster posted it. Biased media or not, Bryz knows what he's saying and how it's going to be interpreted. |

He should be fired up. This is a big game, a playoff-level game for both teams. This is exactly the kind of opportunity he should crave.
Granted, he probably had a slightly better defense in front of him when day-dreaming about this moment...and that's why you shouldn't have any dreams. |
