Good to hear he has been cleared. Hopefully he's grown up a lot in the last year. |

I don't worry about B Schenn's maturity as much as I worry about his decision making. He seems to have a little bit of that Hartnell stupidity in him sometimes.
The play tonight where he tried to carry the puck down the boards into the Isles zone .... at the VERY end of his shift ... only to turn it over and it ends up behind Mason is a prime example. Nothing to do with maturity. Just a stupid, stupid play. - FlyerGuy
All part of developing as a player. Let's face it. Pretty much the entire team doesn't play the right way, and doesn't make the smart play the majority of the time. One of the big reasons why they're not a very good team this year.

How does the coach not mention during the timeout, guys let's clear the zone and get a line change because of the really long shift that led to the icing? Just stupidity on all levels. |

I wouldn't count on Meszaros. Grossmann is an injury concern as well between the concussions and knees. This defense core is in tatters. - PLindbergh31

flyers now have a crying need for a young dman who'll be ready to play by '12-13.

I'd be fine with Emery. He's $4-$4.5 million cheaper than Bryz.
Please send me a link to the new buyout rules. I keep getting crap from google. - jstross
As for compliance buyouts, they work just like a regular buyout, except there's no cap penalties.
2/3rd of the remaining money over twice the remaining length is paid out. |

I would not be suprised to see the Flyers during the draft trade with the Jets, Coyotes or the Blues. Both teams have a plethora of d-men and a need for top 6 forwards. - ravishingone
I could see a deal for Buff. Jets were willing to try him at RW while in a playoff race? Shows they are pretty confident in their D without him on it. |

i would love that. he's never lost a game in philadelphia. GID holmger. - hammarby31

My post is completely factual. And the point that Jsaq made was also based on the facts. - MJL
you posited that they may have signed nabakov for just a year. not even close to a fact or a possibility. maybe you should look up the definition of fact. |

you're right. he was their third chioice. I stand corrected. although they were only willing to committ to two of them long term. - mayorofangrytown
Very possible. But they made the decision to "end the goaltending issues" in 2011. If they loved Nabokov that much, he probably could have been acquired from the Isles that summer. |

They don't have to pay the player the full contract amount? Heck, definately buy him out. $26 million over 14 years is chump change for Comcast. They should do it and not rush to spend to the cap. Bryz hasn't shown he's worth $40 million more. I would just hate to see him get hurt and the club eat that money. |

The facts that I provided were that Nabakov's rights were traded for in 2010. And Bryzgalov's right's were traded for in 2011. When the Flyers were looking for a Goalie to build their team around, following the edict made by Ed Snider. Bryzgalov was clearly the Flyers first choice.

Nope.
The accelerated buyouts required a full payment for this season, and 2/3rds of the rest after this season, and the team had to carry the full hit this season. |
