Probably not... They flew me (and about 50 other hopefuls) out to Halifax for two days to do an intense series of interviews... Not sure how that went, but my interview was relatively early (think around 10am). I was tired from pleasuring myself the night before, so to make a long story short, I nearly fell asleep 3-4 times during the interview. There were times when they'd ask me a question, and if I didn't feel like answering it, I'd just answer something that they didn't even ask. Overall, it was a fun time... For me.

A couple of things i just wanted to get out there is:

1) Hall is going to be a monster- once he adds another 10 or so lbs of muscle the top line will have a player that can definitely bang
2) WTF is wrong with Eberle- he really pussed out this year IMO-
3)WTF happened to Nuge- IMO he does 30 moves to make one (frank)ing pass- further he cant hit the (frank)ing net if the game was on the line- example see last night 2 on 1...
4) J Schultz has been over his head most of the year- had this year been 82 games he would have been fuct
5) I did not miss Hemsky last night
6) Smyth needs to retire today

Oh, OK...now we will read this with insight since you used to be a master debater. That changes everything you say, it gives your blog more cred. Silly us, we should have know!

I thought Krugs plan was to get the press-boxers some games and rotating for a few every 7 games seems fine by me.

I hope Peckham gets added to the list of players who will never play for the Oilers again (Omark, Belanger...)

Agreed with all of this...Hall is going to be one of the premier power forwards in the league with an extra 10lbs and if he stays healthy.
Eberle and Nuge had off years, they are young...they are allowed to have them.
Jschultz will be fine too...I think the problem with him is that guys like Cloutier hyped him up to win Calder, be best thing since sliced bread, when in reality he was still a boy coming into a man's league...
Oilers should look to trade their 2014 1st to upgrade the defence...see about getting someone like EJohnson out of Colorado.

Eberle and RNH have Mono... They caught it while making out with each other.

RNH also has a sprained wrist, 4 broken fingers, a broken shoulder, Polio, and an ingrown toe-nail... Plus he is cock-eyed.

Can we please make a list of hyped prospects the Oilers had, who never actually panned out in the last 8 year?

LA did a lot of building by trades like Richards/Carter/Penner etc....Your team doesn't trade. They just try the waiting game basically. There should be a rule for teams like EDM not to be able to have the chance the 1st pick for 4 straight years. most of the teams had to be in the top 5 in drafting twice to be able to change direction. It's been 3 1st picks for EDM and there's still not so much change or minor changes only

How long did it take for the kings to build that core of doughty, brown, kopitar, quick before they went out and made next step moves?
What about pittsburgh with crosby, malkin, letang, fleury before they did the same?
Chicago and keith, toews, seabrook, kane....?

The oilers started their rebuild in 2010 regardless of how u wanna see it. As sad as it is to say, they did anything but before that. If ud like to get into specifics, by all means. I got another couple hours to kill...

They did attempt a rebuild in 2007 then sort of ditched the plan after they almost made the playoffs in 2008.

My problem isn't with the team. My problem is with management and it has been long before this year. It is just more prevalent this year. I liked Krueger as a pick, I wish he worked. He didn't but my problem with him is that he chose a coaching strategy, laid it out before the season and never tried it. The strategy we were hoping that led the swiss team to victories.

My problem with Lowe has always been his ability to make problems worse. When things start going down a road he seems to either stay the course or worse, pretend it is the plan. Plus his ignorance to MacT's inability to coach. Plus his inability to hire coaches or lead.

My problem with Tambellini is three fold. He signs people we don't need (Hordichuk, Brown, Smithson... this year alone) and doesn't address the real problems. Are we a playoff team or not? If so try to improve the team, if not try to sign the UFA's or trade them. Much like Buffalo did. If the players don't have a future with the team long term, this was the time to part with them. Fistric, Whitney, Jones, Belanger, Petrell, Habby... anyone with value. 4 at least of those had a good market value compared to what other people traded. Hemsky was also a good person to part with considering the one year left on his contract.

The problem that worries me most is not that I don't think Steve rode the fence like he said he did. Its that Steve did nothing. Now we will lose Whitney and Fistric for nothing in July instead of some sort of draft pick. Probably 2 seconds for whitney at least (comparing to him being better than regher) and a 4th for Fistric as dmen were at a premium (although I hope we resign him for cheap and keep him as a 7th man.

The Oilers fans are some of the most patient in the league. Look at the other teams that have similar records of making the playoffs if there are any. Maybe Toronto? They have went through goalie after goalie, GMs, Coaches and still cry havoc when they lose. We finish last, last and second last and still sell out our games. Name another team that would do that without complaining until now. We earned our right to be disappointed. It makes us no less of fans than those that drink the Kool aid Lowe is serving and believe that losing this year was still part of the plan to win the cup in a couple more years.

Why? Because we say our team this year. A team that was ready to make the playoffs. A first line that played injured and held their own against the best in the league. Then when it came time with them in 9th ready for 8th, management got us a two year deal on a 50% faceoff guy that can't skate.

I say someone has to go and I am tired with it being the coach. Start from the top and go down. A new coach is in order but keep Krueger if his pride will let him stay on as special teams coach.

I still hope they offer smyth a scouting position in the WHL or something in the front office. Maybe VP Hockey Operations (Mac T sucks) and Smyth will retire on his own. He earned a place with the team long term. The guy isn't stupid despite his haircut and he is quite personable. Also Team Canada is based out of Calgary and he would be a great replacement to lowe who I think should be deported to North Korea as our new embassy rep or he can do the factory negotiations for that plant the north and south run together that the south aren't allowed in anymore. That seems cushy.

Trukhno. Ripped up juniors only to fail.

Omark - If he had it in him someone else would've acquired him. There is a reason no one wanted him. Something suggests it's why he was benched for game 7 of a playoff series this year.

Edit: I didn't really pick anyone from the past few years as it's far too early.

Yeah I remember everyone being big on Trukno but wasnt there a problem with him not wanting to play over here?
