My issues with Giroux havent been as much with his offensive production, but more directly his trend of trying to force the play with his talent. Its a lazy way to play, and even though he isn't the most physical guy he cannot be playing so fancy.
You might get away with that on the PP, as his numbers would indicate but 5 on 5, you will have a guy like Voracek who plays the game differently being more effective.
My main issue with Giroux has been his approach to the defensive side of the puck. Too many plays gliding back or half-ass attempts. - flyer_nutter
or the Giroux patented stick-to-your teammate's-backside-push backchecking maneuver. |

Yes too many forced plays. I wonder I Jagr helped with that. Jagr knew where to be and what to do for Giroux. They are still missing the 3rd piece on that line. Love jake and g together, the hartnell we see today, no so much. |

Timmo looked very slow out there (see ancient) - FlyersGrace
He's playing on one foot right now, and still is their best two-way defenseman. But yes, his lack of mobility was very obvious last night.

i like Schenn a lot. my only issue with him is the time it takes him to make a decision with the puck on his stick. he holds onto the puck way too long in both ends of the ice. i don't know if he's not anticipating his move before he gets the puck, is unsure what to do with it anyway, or a combo. But he needs to improve on this. - wilsonecho91
If you are talking about Luke Schenn, next time this happens look for the rest of the team. I find Luke holds the puck if no one is open for an outlet pass. If you have no one to pass it to then yeah you're gonna be seeming to hold onto it for too long. |

~80p in a 82 game season, and without Jagr, and on a non-playoff team. About were I'd guess he'd be before the start of the season (except the non-playoff part ofc). He gets a B from me. - PhillySteen
He needs to be much better on both sides of the puck. He was MIA for stretches during the season. I chalk it up to growing pains and the first year of wearing the C. |

I'm pretty happy with Luke Schenn. I never really expected him to see PP minutes but he has an ability to calm everything down, and make a smart play at the point. Great ability.
Luke Schenn and Grossman are very CONSISTENTLY solid shutdown d-men. |

You got to put a lot of mustard on those, because otherwise the might rise, instead of drop - Jsaquella
While it is silly to complain about lack of zip on a drop pass, that was an ill advised time to drop it, if only because the puck was dropped to him and the Flyers player who it was intended for was covered pretty tightly |

Yet management was so willing to give it to him after watching Richards struggle.
Not all agree, but most of my frustrations with this squad lay solely on management, and Snider. |

L Schenn has accepted the responsibility of added responsibilities due to injuries extremely well. He still is good for 1 brain fart a game right by his own net, but he looks like he's coming along nicely. |

I agree. Teams are going to catch on to his slow motion spin move soon enough. He needs to get quicker with his decision making. |

The players play a large role, but I agree, management put this team in this position. |

was it yesterday's game where pulled the slowest-Savard-spino-rama at the blue line move of all time? |

As opposed to who? Having Timonen wear the C doesn't change this teams record, nor does it make Timonen more or less vocal. (frank), give it too Knuble he is the best interview. Unless you're a terrible journalist, then you go with Bryz, he's good for one contextual mishap per question.
Giroux and Richards aren't comparable, IMO. As players obv, and even personalities. Giroux wears his emotions on his sleeve more. He will come back next year with a fire in his belly. |

I'm absolutely furious at this team right now, especially those who spoke anonymously to Frank Seravelli.
We're the laughing stock of the entire NHL at the moment. |

I haven't seen anything about Grossmann having vision issues, just that h had a setback in his recovery, probably pushed too hard too soon. - Jsaquella

And that's different how?
KGB we're good. Anyone who seriously follows this team and isn't trolling is gonna see this as a pathetic attempt to increase bad journalism ratings who cover a struggling team. Bryz could show up to game with a baby blanket and I'd be cool with it if he could stop breakaways!
Just refer them back to Knuble's comments...
EDIT: And if I felt all Bryz needed was a nap then please for godsake let him take one... |

Multiple named players also confirmed it didn't happen - Timonen, Fedotenko and Knuble. |
