Very true. Those guys are hardly the "caliber" of player that Olesz is, although that I suppose says pretty much nothing.

I'm saying Olesz is making NHL money and hypothetically should be an NHL player based on where he was drafted and his experience so far in his career, yet he is entrenched in the minors for more than just his injury history and paycheck (neither of which are any reasonable inhibitor at this point if management intended to call him up).

I know it.

You obviously did something wrong in a past life in order to be tortured with this, and now it's spilled onto the thread and we have to suffer too.

Thanks for nothing!

Saw a few games in Rockford last season plus the games he played in Chicago that told me as much. All I will say on this matter is that if his play earns him a call up, then it is likely deserved. Nothing we say or do about Rusty will change what happens with him, obviously only Stan and the gang can decide that.

Again, if you're going to say that I said something, PHUCKING QUOTE ME!!!

This is a piss poor job of trying to regurgitate what I said. This isn't what I said at all. For chris'sakes, at least paraphrase it.

While you're at it, learn how to spell. It's Olesz, with an "s," not a "c."

- EKolb13

Maybe Olecz should get a spot start or two, that way Q could give Stahlberg or Krueger a rest down the stretch.

I'm going to go out on a limb here...say they do call up Olesz, who do you think they should send down?

Just sit back and look at it big picture......

Hawks are #1 in the WC and will likely remain #1 through the end of the season......they were predicted to finish in the bottom 4 of the top eight....

They had a record setting streak to begin the season.....

Meanwhile Olesz gets put on waivers TWO TIMES with the hopes some team would be desperate enough to pick him up.......you could say they were begging the league.

When needed the Hawks call up TWO ICE HOGS not named Olesz to help fill roster spots because of injury.

Like Kyle Beach Rusty wins AHL player of the week honors.....

And madness and the attack of the stupid begins with calls to bring up Rusty to see what he can do and he may be able to help us on the power play......

This is your 2013 Blackhawk season....

That would be the correct answer.

Honestly, I don't mind if Olesz ends up being a black ace. If Olesz does end up seeing any action in the playoffs will be because half a dozen guys are injured. At that point, the series is probably lost anyways.

If I remember correctly roster size is not set post-TDL, so they could bring him up without any roster issue. Not sure though to be honest.

And this is likely a moot point because they don't do much of anything roster-wise until game one of the playoffs as far as bringing up the black ace crew. That's likely the best Olesz does unless he averages 2+ points a game for the rest of the AHL's season and there are some catastrophic injuries.

Totally agree First thing we should do is take the OBVIOUS hit. So many times we all yell hit `em, I mean no need to glide 1.5 sec. to make a hit just the quick ones. Second when on the boards push more ecspecially when you when the puck is starting to come free, Boston is a master of this. Third we are having the worst time when teams send a third man in to take options away. therefore we will need as much muscle as we can get. Could someone slip Bicks & Stal a note that reads "There`s more money in it if you hit?"

See this is where you're wrong and let me explain why......and I promise I will try to be polite.

There are two types of AHL players.....prospects and journeyman.....

Prospects are called up from time to time to see what they can do....judge their talent level while playing against the best of the best....some stick like a Shaw or a Saad. Others take a while or become tweeners till they are ready like a Morin or a Hayes....

Journeyman like Olesz have played in the NHL and have been scouted extensively throughout their careers.....they have a "book" on them. Every one knows what their potential is or what type of NHL player they are......because they've played in the show. They are not going to get better....they simply are who they are. There are no suprises with them and that is why he will not be called up any time soon because as he may be lighting it up in the AHL the "book" on him has shown he will not come close to that in the NHL.

Here is a better way of understanding it......think of a Heisman trophy winner who was a world beater in college.......that didn't last more than three seasons in the NFL because his skill set and game didn't translate to NFL success....
