NO PLACE in the game for that kind of vicious stick work. Frustration or not...repeat...NO PLACE in the game for that.
Fact that 2 A S S H O L E refs missed it too is a DISGRACE.
Hall's developing a bad rep this year with this and the Clutterbuck low-bridge. - philco28
The older I get, the more I am starting to beleive that it's not a matter of the refs missing anything, it's more of them not being able to call things. As much I would like to think it i still the players that decide the games, I am becomming more and more certain that the outcome of every season is already been determined long before the season starts. When you really think about it, there is too much money involved to just let it happen. If corporations are pumping millions of their dollars to partner with a sports league, they are going to want some kind of control. It's just human nature.
Sorry 'bout your Pops Wiz...that's tragic - philco28
Ukie Village. Went to St. Nicks. Boyz at 62 I have tried every perogie made. Not needing brownie points, but my wifes are absolutely the best. Melt in your mouth/ Pork and sauerkraut,or potato.None better

Probably some truth to this....one of the things i hate is when a ref will award a pp to a team trailing by 1 with under 5 minutes to play. See it happen all the time. I'm sure many of those type of calls are legit with teams clinging desperately to a lead, but it happens way too much for my liking.

It would be nice to see Toews and Kane together, but separating them does give more balance.
I really hope Kruger can work out in the 2C role, I have reservations about it but I am hoping. - DarthKane
Q does a good job of 'loading up' with 88/19/81 at strategic points in the game...love Krugs' this year. He's become a very solid NHL'er in a relatively short period of time. Don't believe he's the answer on the 2nd line, but his puck sense cannot be denied. And he has to improve greatly at the dot, especially in our zone.

Baaaaddd!! Hall is expressing alot of frustration at being targeted. But hey as the announcer alluded...guys like Messier and Pronger had that part of their toolbox most nites.
Refs are missing alot of stuff this year and the players have noticed. How about a 3rd ref on the ice....like the NBA? One each zone to catch more of this sh!!!!!TTT
Agreed. I find the whole lack of finish thing kind of silly going back to when they put it on Brouwer too. The truth is, Stalberg's SH% is lower in part because his speed creates more opportunities often at top speed, which are very hard to finish. Stalberg is a very good player for this team.

So he's too fast to regularly convert the chances he creates?

True, and they're legends...but also 2 of the dirtiest, cheap'shotting bastages EVER.
Howard's deal may also mean Miller will want to renegotiate his deal assuming he's dealt in the offseason. - golfbard
Miller can't renegotiate his deal. In fact, no one can. However, Miller could use this as some sort of reference or starting point for a contract extentsion this summer.

Miller's acid tongue won't help him in negotiations.

Dear god no.
The ice is crowded enough. A 3rd official would be a disaster.

I'm no expert, but I see Kruger as more of our 3rd line centre than 2nd line centre going forward. I don't know when the 3C role will be his, but until then I expect he'll bounce around as needed between 2C, 3C and 4C.
